Questions about possible ecstasy addiction.
I discovered ecstasy probably a couple months ago. In those two months I probably spent upwards of $1000 on rolls. In my head it was kind of like a pre-pubescent child's discovery of mastebation. After I ran out of money, I didn't have any real physical withdrawels but I did feel sort of down and out. My question is can you get addicted to ecstasy? How do you deal with it? I want to use ecstasy but how can I moderate myself? Will it be easier to control myself now that I know that I am just fucking myself? |

Yes, you can be mentally addicted to ecstasy and it sounds like you've got a good start on abusing it. You feel down and out because your brain hasn't has an opportunity to become normal again. It is not healing and regenerating seretonin like it should, so you feel like crap. To deal with it, just moderate it. Keep in mind you build a tolerance to ecstasy, so if you only do it, say, once a month, you never have to up your dosage and waste extra money. Just only make plans to go out and roll once a month and never more than that.

da you can get addicted to chocolate, tweek, coffee, ciggarettes, sex, anything, so ya it is very addictive,, most people will go threw the same kind of withdrawl, it is different w/everyone.. deal with it Do Not Do IT, you will eventually get over it, slowly very slowy it will escape your every though, you may think of it once in a while, just like you will remember how good food tasted the first timeyou got the munchies, but it is the past....no you willmost likely not be able to moderate your use, alotof it is in your head,, but eventually you will be so fucked, with your dickin the dirt, no money, brain damage, and still wanting more x,

The weirdest thing about it all is that it seems as though my circadian rhythm was erased. I don't sleep normal hours. SometimesI stay awake untilI am so exhausted thatI sleep for a day. SometimesI can sleep normally. SometimesI can only sleep when the sun is up. This abnormal sleep schedual really fucks with my eating schedual which in turn has on occasion played havoc on my bowels

Sounds like a little bit of depression, you should go out and buy some 5-htp pills and some melatonin, it'll help your mood and will make you sleep better. 5-htp is a precursor to serotonin which is one of the things which are depleted after ecstasy use (its the happy hormone in your brain *is it a hormone? if it isn't someone please correct me*. I think melatonin is also related to serotonin, it helps to regulate your circadian rhythm, i have used it with good results. Here are a couple of links for ya to chew on: http://www.dancesafe.org/documents/druginfo/depression.php http://www.sleepfoundation.org/publi...latoninthefact .cfm If you just have a search about i'm sure you will find plenty of information. As for becoming addicted to X: Nearly all of my friends have the same experience with ecstasy, you get your first taste and its so magic that you want to roll again and again but you eventually lose your interest as the magic fades and you start to get more negative side effects (i had a massive dose of paranoia on a bad comedown which was enough to put me off!). Of course this isn't going to be the case for everyone but it is definitely a recurring theme with ecstasy. |

Serotonin ain't a hormone; it's a neurotransmitter. Although 'the happy hormone' has a nice a;lliteratin thang going on there.

Yeah I was prescribed some SSRIs (lexapro) but I couldn't eat a damn thing when I was on em. Guess I will have to tough it out.

Damn, I guess rolling twice a week was WAY overboard. I ran with a crew in Hollywood a few years ago andwe went to clubs every Friday and Saturday night, but in reality Friday night started Thursday night, for most of us, and ended Sunday afternoon, usually at the beach. I thought they were good times. I actually had fun at the begining, but I never realized I was losing everything I considered important until it was too late. When the last party ended, I looked at what I had accomplished during those times-nothing, what I had left from before I started partying-nothing, and how many neurotransmitters I had to keep in level headed in dealing with the destruction I just caused in my life-none.

MMM. I rolled two or three times a week at the beginning. Then just once every week or two. Cracked me out hardcore after awhile, until I discovered 5htp and piracetam. That stuffs great! It's been about 6 months since I've rolled. I miss it a lot. I am an ecstacy fiend. I should be getting ten pills later this week. :P Cant wait. Best I can say to you is start eating lots of 5htp. Melatonin can help too, take some at night. And take a 2 or 3 month break. At least 1 1/2 months to let your brain recover. Peace, |
