7 months clean but obsessively stockpiling drugs

swim has this obsession. swim keeps on getting great ideas like buying a safe and only obtaining access to it when he is stocking it with drugs.. he wants to fill this safe with all sorts of drugs.. just in case. He rationalizes it by saying that he would only have access to it when he was putting stuff in it. after that he would send the key with a friend so he could no open it. But when he was ready to put more stuff in it he would contact this friend.

how does swim get rid of this obsession.

by getting off the internet, sobering up, taking a hike in near-by woods and figuring out what is important to swiy, we become so entangled in substance that we forget what makes life interesting besides drugs and substance.

just go out and absolve and really take in what inner dialogue comes out when away from it all and sober.

now put these silly safe talks away and start thinking clearly.

yah the problem is swim has been clean and sober almost 7 months now.. but swim will take the suggestion about going out and living life he just has been so consumed with school. swim also just moved to a new city he has very little friends.

In SWIM's opinion, regardless if a friend has the only key to the safe, many recovering users will go back to the old habits of finding ways to obtain drugs including taking a torch to a safe full of drugs! If the safe in question really needs to be disposed of, SWIM would be more than happy to destroy it for you ;-)

If money was ever a problem during swiy's drug use, it might show swiy something if swiy sold his large stockpile, preferably all at once to try to have as little as possible to do with junkies again, and bought himself something nice with the probably considerable amount of money. Depending on what you call a large stockpile, I'd say a holiday somewhere is a good thing to try for.

Swim is not addicted, but he stockpiles drugs horribly. He always buys in bulk, and will go a long time sober just to save up enough for bulk orders. He does this for every single drug he does.

Swim freaks out when he thinks he wont have drugs when he wants them.

Swim won't buy pot in less than 4 oz, H in under a gram, and similar. Swim never regrets it either.

If Swiy is stockpiling drugs but not doing them, then Swim has some serious willpower. Swiy should be proud for having that much self control after having previous problems!

lol yes swims friends are amazed at his power and he often gets phone calls from old friends about how they wish they could have the will power that he does... they are often broke and down on there luck because of drug usage.. swims current collection is pretty slim right now..he traded the fentanyl and oxycodone for more benzos because opiates scare him because of his od...and then he got bored with his collection and stopped buying stuff....as he also wanted a new tv. swim is 9 months clean and sober

his collection includes. swim will not put street drugs in it because or purity issues... only marijuana.
