Can I do anything to forget memorized telephone numbers to aid recovery?

this could be posted in every forum but SWIM thought it would be best in the addiction and recovery section

SWIM knows that one suggestion for recovery is to get rid of all numbers of people that are drug buddies or dealers....SWIM has deleted all of those numbers from his phone and such but since he never used to save his dealers numbers in his phone, he has them memorized in his head kinda like his own cell # or house #

SWIM wants to know if anybody has any suggestions or if there is anyway other than time to get those numbers out of his head because whenever SWIM has the temptation, he can call the dealers and they will deliver to his house since SWIM isn't driving....if SWIM could forget these numbers forever, it would make obtaining SWIM's drug of choice much harder

so far, knowing these numbers hasn't called SWIM any trouble; however, he would like to forget these numbers forever and would like any assistance in this matter

In the military they teach you to remember things by saying them 15 times outloud. My brother told me that. Maybe it could help, I'm not sure how to get something out of your head other than just not calling them for a while. But if you could remember a bunch of other numbers maybe you could push them back a little, I dunno.

remomorise the numbers but with mistakes,then rememorize them again with different mistakes. eventually you wont know which is the real number anymore.

dude.. that's the best idea ever fnord. swim has a lot of numbers in his head and the only way hes ever fogot them is when he replaced one number with a wrong number.. great idea this will work.. just sit down and write down similar numbers...

also learn peoples numbers that are clean and sober. Get 10 of these clean and sober people who are in the program for keeps and remember there number. It will work also.
