Smuggling Seeds Into the US - Consequences

What legal consequences would there be for an American citizen who gets caught trying to smuggle cannabis seeds (say, 5-10) from Canada? Assuming it was a first offense, and the person in question was between 18 and 20 (I'm not sure if there's a different punishment for people 21 or over).

I'm not sure if this can be answered or not, but would border guards (or whoever checks for drugs) be able to catch a person with seeds in some way, other then completely searching everything on their person?

Well, America can be kinda " funny" sometimes in reguards to thier drugs laws. One judge could slap someone on the rist and another could give you the maximum sentance. Just depends on what mode the judge is in the day of the trial. Outside of that, swim did time with a guy from canada. He had been busted with less then 2 grams of Mary Jane, never had another offence in canada or the states. They gave him 7 years. At the end of wich he would be extradited back to Canada and would not be allowed back in the states for 25 years. Also may want to look up some information on Marc Emery and the BC 3. They are looking at possibly doing 20 years for sending seeds across the border. Swim said there are several ways to get good genetics in the states. But if they just have to try and cross the border with them, then heres what SWIM suggest. At most all malls or department stores you can general find somewhere that gives away free samples of perfume. These samples noramlly come in lil small glass tubes. remove the perfume and sterolize with alchol. After someone has picked up there beans, also buy a pin, just a normal old ink wrtieing pin, one that can be some what eazly taken apart. Stick the beans inside the glass sample tube, stick the tube inside the pin. Althogh swim doesnt incurage the breaking or violateing of any laws, they feel something simaler to this may give you the best chance of success. Well how would they go about checking someone, who was, let's say, traveling from canada to the US via bus? Would they even search them that much, or would they only check all the details if they were tipped off or something?

When crossing boarders in a passenger bus, they noramly just walk the dog around the bus, let them sniff in the bags section underneath. Atleast thats all they ever did when i was on a bus.

Can cannabis seeds be detected by scent?

I'm not sure to tell you the truth. I'm gonna say no just because they are so small and inactive until they germinate. So don't beleave there would be anything in them that could give of an odor. There might be some type of scent left on them from the original plant though. So maybe in a large enough amount they could be detected.

swiy could also try put the seeds in between other seeds that look similar but swiy can tell the difference

I dont believe you have anything to worry about a friend told me he just mailed them back to himself in a cd case using espress mail. He also stated that they wont do nothing except take them if caught through the mail. Hope this helps. Also if they catch them on you who know what they will do??? why risk that?

Well swim "accidentally" smuggled beer through the border being 19. He had it in an ice chest under the ice with some empty 40s on top. The bp lifted up one of the ice bags and thats it. Gave swim a bit of a scare...

As for cannabis seeds being smelt swim also watched never get busted again vol 2, and in that they suggested grinding up the seeds and throwing them throughout the yard so that the police dogs are confused. So it would probably be a yes if they had a dog.

oh and they try to scare the shit out of ya when ur going through.... bastards...

as for sending through the mail, the seeds go through because they don't have a dog there every second to check EVERY package. So swiy could mail himself the seeds and send it to "Current Resident". Which would be much safer. And of course let them "cool off" for a couple days before bringing them inside. This would be safer than trying to bring them through border patrol.

Oh and btw they are recording "EVERYTHING" or so they say so when swiy gets to the border he may want to not say anything stupid...

BUT this is only from experience through the qubec border. It could be different in other provences.
