how long till drugs show up?

SWIM took two tabs of X and was then drug tested about an hour after consumption. It was a blood drug test. Does anyone know if there's any chance that the drugs wouldn't show up yet due to the fact that they were taken so soon before the test? I've heard of people smoking a bowl on their way to get drug tested and stilling testing clean, does the same go for ecstasy, and if so, is one hour soon enough beforehand? Thx everyone.
