How "Bud" ....
I have recently decided to quit smoking cannabis, my reason: Kills my motivation. After smoking pot [Chronic of both sativa/indica strain] every day at least twice for about 2 years... I have to say that cannabis really does fuck you up, It has made me extremely lazy, i have gained weight, a lot of things I used to do before I dont do them any longer cause i rather hit the bong and DO NOTHING. It became controlling and I couldnt make it a "daily medication" It fucked up my drive to do many things basically. Maybe not everyone gets affected like I do, But if you get the symptoms that I do.. I encourage you to stop or just do it less frequently, If not sooner or later you will find yourself a loser.
I'm not saying I will never smoke again...but as far as everyday? NO WAY! just my two cents after playing with cannabis for 2 years.. |

Well in all fairness, i think that anything done in excess is going to be bad for you and will result in consequences. Its good to hear that you cutting back, your probably going to enjoy it more now that you will do it less often.

Second, I'm glad you made the distinction I bolded in your post. It does not affect everyone the same way. Some people are better able to use it responsibly and maintain their contributive nature towards society. In the words of a wise man... Marijuana is an excellent servant, but terrible master. |

Re: How "Bud" ....
Swim gets not only lazy as hell but rediculously paranoid if he smokes pot everyday for a while. So yeah, it could have some bad effects.

Re: How "Bud" ....
Swim went through a couple periods of smoking everyday and felt pretty much fine. None of that amotivational syndrome for swim. However, after a while Swim would always get cocky and increase his use until eventually he got caught, and went back to once a week usage, which slowly increased, and Ah! Swim was in a vicioius circle.

Re: How "Bud" ....
Swim only was paranoid when first smoking pot, with no tolerance. After he started smoking more than once a week, the fear and paranoia left, and only ever came back a handful of times.

Re: How "Bud" ....
Good for swiy! Being able to recognize the effect of and control one's substance is very important.
Strange it effects different people differently though. Swim found the pattern for him over 20 years is that swim's life is more stable when toking 24/7. But it may be that swim is self medicating a minor case of manic depression and the pot evens out the highs and lows. It also helps swim stay away from substances that cause more damage to swims life. |
