Effects - Confused by effect

Swim bought a gram of coke just the otherday. Now swim did a small line of it and just thought it was great. Then swim did the rest of it the next day and noticed that when swim did it in the morning it wasn't bad but kept doing it throughout the day and the effect kept getting shittier and shittier until the last line swim just dumped out on the plate and did the biggest line swim has ever done. Swim felt nothing but gipped out off money. Doesn't do coke much but just a few times. Swim expects tolerance after awhile but not the first day in the past 6 months. What would cause the high getting worse in just one day?

The tolerance of cocaine builds up REAL quick, within hours of first hitting it. SWIY would have to take more and more to get the same effect. Also the 'novelty' of coke wears off when SWIY keeps doing it. SWIY gets more 'expectant' so it's less mentally potent. Which is why usually the first line of the night is the best, or if SWIY holds off until the next day doing it after some rest feels relatively good swell.

Basically your brain is releasing all its dopamine on the first time you do cocaine that day, then the rest of the day your brain doesn't release as much dopamine and in turn you don't get the same amount of pleasure, confidence, and high. Your brain has to build it's dopamine back up before the same effect is achieved, hence one hit is too many and a million isn't enough.

Cocaine is a dopamine transporter blocker that competitively inhibits dopamine uptake to increase the lifetime of dopamine and augments an overabundance of dopamine (an increase of up to 150 percent) within the parameters of the dopamine neurotransmitters.

Also if SWIY hasn't eaten all day then SWIY's body doesn't have the energy to produce the endorphins to get the high. Make sure SWIY eats something, it will probably help.

Well people do accomodate quickly to cocaine. However this sounds like SWIY had cocaine that was weak and stepped on a lot. That would mean SWIM would feel pretty good on the first blast but then things would not be as profound on later blasts. With good strong high percentage cocaine on would not respond this way but get benefit even if it was done before. Maybe less but still good benefit.

Good cocaine should make it so it does not take much at all to be able to yank out ones front teeth with a pair of pliars and not feel it. But alas most coke is stepped on so many times people are out of touch with what cocaine should fel like a lot of the time.

SWIM does not take cocaine any more but use to.

Dealers cut that shit. Swim has had bags where some chunks are the good and theres some powdery other shit in there too. Pull out a nice rock and his face goes numb, by the bottom of the bag the shake is inactive. If you put it in your mouth and it doesnt go numb then that part is some other crap...

The description SWIY gave is quite common and most likely caused by tachyphylaxis which is medical term describing a rapidly decreasing response to a drug following administration of the initial doses.

If SWIY re-doses to keep cocaine levels stable over a relatively long time, depletion of the neurotransmitters resources can occur, another mechanism is acute tolerance whose mechanism is not quite known or understood but can raise tolerance exponentially in a matter of hours, some individuals maybe more susceptible to these reactions than others.
