Combinations - Ethylphenidate - Very Satisfying High

Enantiomeric (dl)-threo-Ethylphenidate is a potent psychostimulant that acts as both a dopamine reuptake inhibitor and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, meaning it effectively boosts the levels of the norepinephrine and dopamine neaurotransmitters in the brain, by binding to, and partially blocking the transporter proteins that normally remove those monoamines from the synaptic cleft. It is formed when ethanol and methylphenidate are coingested, via hepatic transesterification.[1] Ethylphenidate formation appears to be more common when large quantities of methylphenidate and alcohol are consumed at the same time, such as in abuse or overdose scenarios.[2] This carboxylesterase-dependent transesterification process is also known to occur when cocaine and alcohol are consumed together, forming cocaethylene.[3]

Ethylphenidate is more selective to the dopamine transporter (DAT) than methylphenidate, having approximately the same efficacy as the parent compound,[4] but has significantly less activity on the norepinephrine transporter (NET).[5] It has nearly a identical dopaminergic pharmacodynamic profile as methylphenidate, possessing appreciable affinity for the inhibitory G protein-coupled dopamine subtype-2 receptors in the striatum and mesolimbic regions of the brain,[6] including the nucleus accumbens,[7] which is primarily responsible for it's pro-euphorant and reinforcing effects.[8]

SWIM has experienced a high euphoriant effect from the combination of alcohol and methylphenidate but from insufflation and not orally, usualy when well into a drunk state SWIM snorts Ritalin and finds a very pleasing high, unfortunately if alcohol administration is not kept up after insufflation the Ritalin can sober SWIM up within an hour or two.

I would like to see other SWIM's experiences with this combo on this thread and their perceived differences between the sober Ritalin high and the high when Ritalin is taken with alcohol already in their system.

Swim has had several times a fantastic feeling and swim has been partying all night by having Ritalin orally and alcohol, specifically scotch whiskey. Great, great fun. The sensation swim feels is sort of enhancing the effects of both drugs.

I would have to second that, It is true. I might have to quit drinking because I take Ritalin everyday.

My dog is very suprized that their are not more posts about this because it is its fav mix. Very euphoric, you can party all night and not get drowzeeness from the alcohol and it makes it way more social.

What do you guys think about this mix ,my dog would like to hear more about it because their are not many posts here on this topic. The only bad thing my dog has heard is that sometimes the methyphenidate will make him feel like he is not as drunk as he is and he will drink more than he should. But if you know your limits you should be fine.

Do Alcohol and Methylphenidate have to present together inside the body to form ethylphenidate, or can methylphenidate be dissolved in alcohol before drinking and still react?

I think that if they'll readily react outside the body, then one could dissolved MPH into an alcoholic drink and give it some time to form ethylphenidate, then when the drink's consumed it'll provide an even better experience because higher amounts of ethylphenidate would be produced.

If swim understands correctly the liver metabolizes the Ritalin + alcohol into ethylphenidate, (and cocaethylene for cocaine), so the body's doing the work.

Awesome combo, if more was known about the health risks (and it was proven that its not that bad) SWIM told me he would do this more often.
SWIM dares to say it might even be better than Cocaine and Alcohol, cause you do not need to redose every 30/45 mins.

SWIM recommends this combination. Very nice euphoria, reminded SWIM of methylone/MDMA but this was before he did cocaine. Now he thinks its alot like cocaine.

It is important to remember that with this combination, one is feeling the effects of ethanol, methylphenidate and ethylphenidate simultaneously.

The combo is indeed quite pleasant. The depressant effects of ethanol reduce the jitteriness and anxiety one would experience with pure methylphenidate. It is also a very potent aphrodisiac, as it increases energy levels, tactile sensation, pleasure and reduces inhibitions.

The hangover is fairly dire, however, and I think it puts a terrible strain on the body. My tree would not recommend doing this - especially as an all-nighter - more than once every few months.

Yes this combination is good but in order to to get the satisfying high, Ritalin is best to consume first after half an hour follow by consume liquor.

This is opposite to what my HouseCat experienced, first a pretty high dose of alcohol must be consumed, else the experience will be just a Ritalin high.

you dnt have to snort it to get a "great feeling". Ethylphenidate is just what it is called when you take amphetamines with alcoholic aubstances. swim poped 400 mg of concerta, drank acouple of beers and was also on prozac... very interesting night.. stayed up for 40 hours chillin around a fire just talking about stuff constantly, there wasnt a second of there once being silence.

No, ethylphenidate is formed following the co-ingestion of methylphenidate and ethanol, via hepatic transesterification. The process is similar to the formation of cocaethylene when cocaine and ethanol are taken together.

The time SWIM tried this combo, SWIM felt like he was going to curl up and die. What was supposed to be a "well SWIM'll go to bed at 4AM or so and wake up pretty okay and be at work by 1" turned into "Oh SWIM's fuck why does SWIM feel so sick?" turned into "Hi, it's Someone Who Isn't This is bat country here, I think I've got a case of food poisoning or something because I've been puking all night... I don't think I'm gonna make it into work today" turned into "Why the fuck is SWIM still hung over at 6PM?". Awake for the entire ordeal.

It was by large the worst, and SWIM didn't even consume that much alcohol- SWIM thinks he had maybe 6 shots or so of 40% ABV and usually that wouldn't even buzz him even if he were high on weed or something. The negatives definitely outweighed the positives here.

SWIM feels quite happy with Ritalin alone, but also notes that in combination with alcohol, is infact very pleasant and enjoyable... And a drink at about the 1 1/2 hour mark seems to kickstart the high again... He found that out last night during a horrid comedown, had a beer, felt amazing... Now SWIM concludes that alcohol is a wonderful tool to aid in the withdrawls and comedowns, and also wonderful to combine... however he likes this far too much, and wants to know, with all other things aside as far as Ritalin and alcohol being bad for you already, how much risk is he putting himself through with this combo?

Anyone who isnt really you ever experience horrible things?

The hangover sucks balls...as for long term effects I'm sure it's not good for you, the alcohol+rit combo will bring your blood pressure up allot more than regular. I wouldn't recommend making a habit of doing this but fuck, it is fun the odd time!

when my roomie's cat was prescribed concerta for his add he would sometimes take 2 or 3 54mg capsules, either skinned and chopped or chewed (that kitty's got a strong bite), an hour or two before going out drinking to enhance the experience. He said that the combo felt like more than the sum of its parts, the MPH effect seemed more euphoric and produced less of a hyperfocused zombie-like state. He also noted that he felt more alert and felt less inebriation from the alcohol but still got the relaxation and socially lubricating effects. He could also drink a lot more than usual.

He has never been one to get severe hangovers and this combination was no different. He might feel a bit more tired because it made sleeping at night more difficult and he might be a bit more out of it the next day but it was never anything too bad. He told me he drinks a lot of water or juice/sports drink before going to bed after a night of drinking so that could be why his hangovers are never that bad.

He has since switched to Dexedrine and doesn't drink or party nearly as much so he hasn't had the opportunity to try this combo in quite some time but would like to get his hands on some again someday, it apparently made drinking significantly more enjoyable.
