Experiences - Mysteriously dosed with E — how did they do it?

This weekend I was dosed with E/MDMA and I can't for the life of me figure out how — hopefully someone can offer some advice. I was at a festival with friends and my boyfriend. While gallavanting in the campground, after 2-3 drinks, I suddenly became very dizzy and had to sit down. My boyfriend came over to investigate, and then also got very dizzy and had to sit down. After a few minutes we got up, feeling sort of "trippy." Soon enough it became clear that we were on E — boyfriend who had used it before, as well as our friends, confirmed it.

All of our friends swore they hadn't done it. We didn't eat any strange food or drink any strange drinks. The two methods we thought of were that we drank from a bottle of rum that had been left outside all day (but in a campsite that had people in it at all times, and was sitting amid our campsite's 5 bottles or so), and my drink, which was poorly attended for a period of about 15 minutes while I was taking photos. The odd thing about either of those scenarios is that we both ended up being a moderate amount of high — and it was my drink, but my bf sipped on it. He didn't have any of the rum except in my drink. So if it was dosed in there I should have gotten 80% of the E, and he only 20%. (And no, my boyfriend definitely, definitely did not do it.)

Does anyone have any idea how this happened?! It was fun, it's kind of cool that it happened, but mostly it's really, really scary when I think of what else someone could have put in my drink. But I'd love any ideas as to how we were dosed.

There is no self incrimination in that post. It is not against the law anywhere, to be drugged without consent. Secondary; SWIM is the lazy (wo)man's way of solving self incrimination. Be creative.

I can't figure out how to edit or delete it! I will change it as soon as I figure it out, if ever. But it's not illegal to be dosed . . . if I'd wanted to take drugs I wouldn't have this

SWIM is used for things where an upstanding citizen like all those who attend this forum doesnt want to be criminalized for something they havent been doing, its therefore something not really applicable here but it is a good idea to get into the habit of using SWIM, it will come naturally to posts that dont even involve drugs sometimes haha...

SWIM's neighbor (booze only sort of girl) was once drugged at a party and went nuts, having never experienced any drugs before it was bound to have been overwhelming,, she was admitted into hospital were the doctors claim that she was dose with ecstacy, probably in liquid form.. this, to SWIM, sounds like an awsome thing to have (cops wouldnt suspect it if its diluted into a water bottle!!).. though is unsure of its existance, it could probably exist as a product pre crystalization SWIM's guessing...

One coud in this way very briefly pore some of the liquid into a bottle or cup of whatever.. but why people would give out freely such experiences is beyond SWIM

GHB is known as liquid ecstasy, in it's liquid form. It has also been implicated in drink spikings by the media, although how often this practice actually takes place is debatable.

i dont see how exstacy could be snuck into someones drink without them knowing...i dont think alcohol could mask the chemical taste.

SWIM has dissolved E in water before. He couldn't taste it at all, maybe a slightly different consistency of the water but the actual taste stayed the same, so it's a possibility your drink was spiked. Who knows? It's all speculation.

Be sure to let us know if you ever find out, the advice could be used for others to avoid a similar situation.

I think it's possible that somebody can have done that. MDMA is probably soluble in ethanol, which generally has a fairly overpowering taste. Not to mention many drinks have other (either naturally formed or added in) flavorants that could further mask the taste.

It's sad that people would do that. Drugs should only be taken by the willing and forcing/tricking people to take a drug is wrong. When people are drugged without knowing it, some seriously bad things can happen.

Quite. Which is why speculating how it might be achieved (ie: this whole thread) is potentially giving ammunition to nasty people for nefarious ends
