Re: Are these side effects normal?

AFOAF has been experiencing the same side effects recently as well.

AFOAF used to do a lot of MDMA about 11 years ago and did so for about 3 years until one time at a rave AFOAF got a really bad panic attack and severe paranoia. AFOAF thought people were waiting at his car to kill him so he got the bus back home and was still very apprehensive to returning to where he had parked my car the next day.

About a year ago someone said they could get some pure mdma the propa crystals and had a dabble in that on a few occasions. All in all until last month AFOAF took about 2 grams of the stuff not taking more than 3 * 100mg in any one night and usually limited to one night every 2-3 months.

AFOAF went on holiday in June and took 0.7g, 2*100mg on the monday, 3*100mg on Thurs and 2*100mg on the friday on the friday AFOAF did not have any of the loved up effects as would be expected. THe next week AFOAF felt fine the usual afterglow but when AFOAF returned to work the week after AFOAF was very irritable and got really angry very easily which is not usually in my nature. Since then AFOAF have been hearing voices throughout the day even when I walk past someone in the street AFOAF swear they say stuff which only AFOAF would know, i.e quite personal stuff and had paranoia about being followed and watched. AFOAF have also experienced quite vivid dreams and nightmares on a few occasions even one time his neighbour knocked on my door to see if AFOAF was ok. It has been about 6 weeks since AFOAF did the mdma and am still hearing the voices and have some slight paranoia. AFOAF absolutely love mdma the high is amazing and feel really sad that AFOAF can not enjoy this anymore. Do you think the symptoms AFOAF am experiencing are as a result of the mdma and what do you think AFOAF should do going forward do you think AFOAF can every enjoy mdma again?

It is extremely important that you read the rules of the forum to continue. You may not self imcriminate and must SWIM or something similar. So you will be fine if you read the rules.

Re: Are these side effects normal?

swiy should be mildy worried if your having heart palpations (heart skips beats, or isnt beating properly), thats not normal from useing mdma (xtc) and could potential turn dangerous, its on effect on the heart should just be an increase in speed and slightly higher blood pressure. does any other stimulant csuse these symptoms for you? are you taken large amounts of mdma at a time?
you may consider not taking it any more if those heart symptoms are common for you when you roll.

SWIM does have low blood pressure and mild anxiety/insomia (had this before he ever started taking drugs), doesnt take any drugs for his anxiety/insomia. If SWIM has alot of caffine he can sometimes get heart palpations.

Oh these heart problems dont happen when SWIM rolls or is high. It happens afew days later when he tries and goes to sleep. SWIM thinks its just his anxiety and having low serotonine probably doesnt help the situation. Normally doesnt happen till the 3rd sleep and it doesnt happen all the time. Anways SWIM will try MDMA afew times more in the future and if these are reoccuring problems he is definately going to call it quits for ever.

Re: Are these side effects normal?

SWIM was a silly man last week. His favourite club had 2 international DJ's that he likes playing. One of them was a first time to his country. Seeing none of his friends wanted to go he had to go by him self. Seeing he didnt want to be super bored he decided to take 4 tabs. The night was great and the only comedown he experienced was an afterglow. He started taking 5htp the day after the roll and he hasnt had any problems with sleeping, no heart problems, no axiety, no voices in his head and no depression.

So it seams like 5htp has really been helpful and all these issues must of been caused from low serotonine and axiety?

Re: Are these side effects normal?

All of these symptoms sound like effects from the use of mdma and it's potential adulterants. abstinence and time will eventually make things go back to baseline. Don't expect to be able to enjoy mdma very much anymore.

He does have a bad comedown, it is just a little more delayed than he expects, is rather more extended than anticipated, & could if left unattended or is regularly revisited lead to greater difficulties further down the road. Hearing voices & other aural hallucinations can be an interesting experience, but coupled with anxiety & depression can lead to paranoia, psychosis & some nasty medicines. The irregularly beating heart could be a symptom of anxiety, but is also something that many have noticed on the days after a good dose of MDMA & other stimulants.

If he is worried about this or any of the symptoms then do get him to see a doctor, but in the meantime don't feed him any more MDMA or other stimulants - the prognosis is not good if this trend continues kittling...

I'd suggest, based on others findings investing in some 5-htp from your local health food store & if your friend insists on taking more pills insist on him taking this supplement the morning after & for the few days to come as it may well help alleviate these nasty unwanted effects, & aid sleep too. Even if he isn't going to take any more pills it may be worth investing to aid his recovery in general.
it needed to be bumped into this page

Re: Are these side effects normal?

5HTP does help tremendously with comedown depression and mental fatigue but beware it will also increase mdma tolerance.

It's good to see that the heart problems and other non mental aspects seemed to have gone away as well. Some health issues aren't good to be ignored and if that one persisted it could have been bad.
