Caught Harvesting Opium by Neighbour
A funny thing happened to SWIM today. In a field near his house there are some Pap.Som. growing and he decided now was the time to harvest. SWIM hasn't bled poppies before so made a few mistakes with the razor blade and cut his hands up a bit. Standing there with his hands and shirt spattered with blood, scoring opium poppies he looked up and saw a girl right next to him.

SWIM hadn't seen this girl around his village before and so, in an effort to divert her attention from the razor, the blood and the poppies, he made some friendly small talk. Turns out that she is SWIM's new neighbour and had moved in a few months ago. SWIM worked out by the way she was talking that she wasn't suspicious, after all, who'd suspect opium production in a middle class English village. She did ask what SWIM was doing so he said he was collecting samples to do some chromatography on. Luckily, she knew even less science than SWIM and believed that crap.

They walked back to their houses and parted on good terms with an agreement to go for a drink at the weekend.

Who says drugs ruin your life?

SWIM got hit by a car, while cutting pods the other day. He's fine, but he broke his straight razor in the fall, luckily he didn't cut his thumb off!

haha, this is inspiring swim to take advantage of other's ignorance. of course if they were marijuana plants, no chance of sneaking that around. plus opium's a nice plant anyways, if my neighbor was growing some, swim wouldn't tell a soul.

SWIM met a council worker down there the next day who was cutting a footpath. He was there for an hour or so with SWIM harvesting right next to him and he never batted an eyelid.

SWIM thinks can't most people believe that you can't grow proper Pap Som in England. Further, most people don't know how you actually get opium from scoring them.
