Getting back on adderall regiment, diet/exercise info
SWIM will be getting 20mg IR Adderall most likely tomorrow if not the 20th the latest and will be taking it along with 2mg xanax 3x daily (2 if swim sees 3x as unnecessary) SWIMs psych said to try and just take the adderall only as needed, last time SWIM didn't think about the appetite suppressant effects but when he starts taking his ADHD medication again he wants to stay on a good diet since he is quite skinny 145lb. Its almost the season where SWIM actually jumps in the water and does laps and starts running and getting on a good diet (SWIM somewhat hibernates during the summer because of the unbearable heat (115F) and humidity but that is starting to die down.
SWIM want to know if he sticks to 3-5 meals a day plus snacks(fruit and such) and exercise can SWIM gain weight while taking his adderall? SWIM is talking high protein, carbs w/e just to add some more muscle to SWIMs bones. could anyone recommend a good diet or something of help when it comes to an adderall diet plan? any tales or help is appreciated by SWIM thank you ^_^ |

why not just not take the medicine? better yet sell the adderoll and buy weed then youll be hungry more often

lol SWIM will take the medicine and i just guess force himself to eat at least 3 good portioned meals at the same time everyday during the medication duration of effect. SWIM will use ganja if necessary but doesn't really need to sell his adderall to get it, plus around here SWIMs buddies don't have much of a taste for addys

This might be one of those cases where it's a good idea to eat foods that are very high in calories. Use butter instead of margarine, eat Doritos instead of pretzels, put mayonnaise on everything.
Someone could say this is a bad idea because fat is bad for you, but I think under-eating is far worse. |

Yea if you are going to take the adderoll staying well fed and hydrated is really important to maintain good health. although personally i would never want to take such a drug on a daily basis but thats another story

swim likes his training and nutrition he says gaining weight is easy. gaining the correct sort of weight is harder but still quite easy.
as long as SWIY eats 500 more calories than his basal rate ED sticking to slow digesting carbohydrate through out the day a faster acting carb directly after training with a liquid protein. and a lean protein source with each meal he should be good to gain. protein/carb/fat ratio should be 40/40/20 |

swim just pikd up his rx of adderall 20mg ir and took 1 roughly 20min or so ago and so far is reacting fantastically. much better and less edgy than swim remembers with a nice mild euphoria and enhanced concentration and focus.
atm swim is using a click-n-type program since his keyboard broke and must say after his 2nd use of the program, the adderall definitely makes swim klik faster and more efficiently. swim is very surprised and satisfied at the results after the not so positive response the 1st time b4 swim got desoxyn prescribed because adderall made swim more anxious than usual and desoxyn did not. 10min after injestion swim ate a delicious meal as well and hopes his future days go just as smoothly as his 1st dosage is going so far. |

Does it matter? High school athletes and high school fat kids eat at the same McDonalds locations.

Well it matters because one involves stressing your cardiovascular system while the "fat kids" are doing more harm that will manifest itself in terms of high blood pressure, etc. a little later on in life. And if he was trying to just add meat to bones he should keep in mind that Adderall suppresses the appetite a great deal.

swim is looking to add mainly muscle but he has been just a skinny fellow and needs as gforce said add some meat to his bones.

Well given that information, make sure SWIY continues to eat many small meals a day. If he is bulking up this is the best way to do so as far as I know, in conjunction with exercises like free weights or something. If SWIY is naturally skinny and just tries stuffing his face with food while on Adderall chances are he won't notice much of a weight change. Adderall is just going to speed up the body's metabolism even further, so if SWIY wants to add weight that will last weight training would probably be a good idea. Don't even have to work out often, 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week, is a good start and results would be quick. Not like significant "omg jacked" results, but noticable muscle growth. To be safe I would just mention a planned work-out regiment to the applicable doctor for Adderall as an EKG would probably provide better details on cardiovascular health and risks associated from straining the body while on amphetamines. If SWIY is in good health there isn't any reason he couldn't work out while taking Adderall.

hey took adderall xr in H.S. and was on swim team, i wanted faster backstroke time so doing laps in the pool are good but having mucle and endurence is better. so i took a weight training class hoping in would make times better, and you know what happened? i put on weight and got better times, however it was hard as hell to put on weight. i already have a high matabolism i could consume 3000 calories in a single meal (like breakfeast). mind you this is while going to lift weights and swim MILES, in the same day, 6 days a week. this whole ordeal took me about 5 monthes but i put on healty mucle. so for me it was a struggle but a constant BALANCED work out routen and lots and lots of food and sleep got me too my goal. so just be persistant, even when you really dont want to go to the gym, you have to go! and good luck
