Mushrooms have seized order of Mushrooms
A friend of mine ordered under 20 gramms worth of Mushrooms the other week after a good experience with them in Amsterdam.
However they have received a letter from HM Customs and Excise which contains the following text:
*************************************
The following items: 19grams of PSiLocin (Magic Mushrooms) are lible to forfeiture on the grounds that:
* They are controlled drugs and were imported into the United Kingdom contrary to the prohibition in force or.
* They were mixed, packed or found with controlled drugs
They have accordingly been seized
If you claim that the items are not liable to forfeiture, you must within one month of the date shown above, give notice in writing of your claim to any office of Customs and Excise, stating your full name and address. If you make such a claim within that time, legal proceedings will be taken for condemnation of the items. If no such claim is made, the items will be deemed to have been duly condemned as forfeited.
If you are in any doubt about the effect of this notice, you may consult the office named above or if you prefer a solicitor.
Will they pass this information on to the police and will my friend get a criminal record? I have highlighted a particular area which seems to suggest that they will simply throw the order away - am I right in beleiving this?
My friend is quite worried about this and doesent want to tarnish the family's name all because they wanted to experience mushrooms again - something they have assured me will never be doing again.
Should they ring them up and ask them to dispose of the items?
Really appreciate any help on this
