1mg or 2mg of Alprazolam (Xanax)?

Hi
Swim has been using Oxazepam (Serax) for a lil' while without much problem. He recently came across some Alprazolam (Xanax).
He only got 1mg but was wondering if it would be a wise choice to save it and get another 1mg (for a total of 2mg Xanax) ?
Also swim has to say it will be his first try with Alprazolam ( Xanax) and he wants it to be a pleasurable time
