Hair strand tests.

I need to know the best way to get all drugs from my hair before a hair strand test. I am clean but have had one slip up and am just about to be tested by social services. I am so scared they are going to take my baby from me. I have done so well but my social worker is so against drugs which I understand but I know this is not going to turn into addiction again. My understanding, and I'm not 100% sure about this, is that the blood level concentrations have to be much higher for a hair test positive than a positive urinalysis. So a single usage seems like it most likely wouldn't produce a positive. How long ago was the use?

Might want to get a short hair cut, the longer the hair the longer back a strand can be tested. But then again most testing services are pretty standardized on what section of the strand to use and usually won't go past 3 inches.

If push comes to shove, one could always pull a Britney and shave their head or get a really really short haircut. Then they might ask for body hair, but at least for a woman it's somewhat convincing that one wouldn't have any unshaved body hair for aesthetic purposes.

Well at least my girlfriend doesn't, and I've never complained.

yes i have a friend who did cocaine for the first time 3 days prior to a hair test and he passed? maybe it was the low concentrations or the fact the hair hadnt grown yet i have no clue...........but i heard they do take hair from other parts of the body(eyelashes,body,etc..........)

does bleaching work? i know many sites say nothing penetrates to the centre of the hair, but hair sites say strong bleach penetrates the central cortex of the hair?

What time period does a standard hair follicle test cover?
A standard hair follicle screen covers a period of approximately 90 days, but is susceptible to time variation depending on the growth rate of your hair. The hair sample is cut as close to the scalp as possible and the most recent 3.9cm (or 1.5 inches) are tested. It is possible to go back even further than 90 days since the time period is limited only by the length of the hair sample, but is standardized to a 90 day history.

What type of drugs can be detected in a standard hair test?
Cocaine (Cocaine & Benzoylecgonine), Marijuana, Opiates (Codeine, Morphine & 6-Monacteyl Morphine), Methamphetamine (Methamphetamine/Amphetamine & Ecstasy), and Phencyclidine (PCP). These five drug classes are mandated for testing by the Federal Government'.

What if I am almost bald or have no hair?
Hair can be collected from several head and/or body locations (excluding pubic areas) and combined to obtain the required amount of hair. In the rare case where no hair is collectable, complete urine/adulteration testing may be utilized.



Can body hair be drug tested like hair from the head?
Body hair can be drug tested just as hair from the head. The growth rates for body are considerably slower than the hair from your head. Most body hair is replaced in about one year. It is challenging to precisely represent the time period of a standard screen with body hair so substances may be detected in body hair for up to 1 year after the substance left the blood stream.


if swiy doesnt want her baby taken from her, then swiy better fix up from here on, because if swiy is given a second chance and stuffs it up, the baby will be taken. swiy needs to think very long and hard before making any sort of justifications to use in future.

goodluck with social services, and if swiy is scared then it is for good reason. swiy wants to be there for her baby at the end of the day, swim knows this. really hope swiy learnt their lesson from the last relapse. swim doesnt mean to come off sounding too stern here, but she wants swiy to think good and hard about this situation.

if swiy gets a positive test back, then beg and explain it was just a relapse. tell them to come test more often, that swiy is willing to prove herself/fight for this. the last thing social services want to have to do is to take peoples kids, and if they take swiys baby, swiy will fall in a heap. swiy knows this.

swim was in the naltrexone trials back in the year 2000, and they told her that methadone/heroin use is evident in hair, up to 7 years afterwards. not sure if this actually holds any weight, but swim cant see why they would have told her this if it was bullshit. this would depend on the hair length too swim presumes.
