I was stopped by the police an hour ago; they took a vail of POPPERS they found in my car. They told me they were going to tested “and if it comes positive for drugs, we are going to visit you with some warrens (I don’t know if u spell it that way) and arrest you”

yes there ileagle by both state and fedaral laws,but im pretty sure youl just get a fine depending on how many you had do you know what they contained? did you get them at a porn store or from a dealer was it video head cleaner or real poppers?

eventualy they will more than likely come and give you a summons for court,then you go to cort and pay a 200-500 fine if you dont have the $ or just dont feel like paying it right away just tell them u need more time theyl give you1-6 months its nothing serius unles it threatins your student visa,and for a lawyer just wait till you go to court you probly dont need one if you feel you do then call your local public defenders office or cal the local court and ask them who the public defenders are there usaly the cheapest but i dougbt you need one.

What are "poppers"? i've never heard of these... are they something that you bought on the street? or from a store? if it's from a store then i'd say your in the clear. if it's from the street then i'd hire a lawyer. How to hire a lawyer you ask, well simple. get a phonebook turn to the yellow pages and look up lawyers... find one who specializes in crimnal matters, not family... i got fucked by getting someone who said he was a criminal lawyer and he really was more of a family lawyer... if u dont feel good about him then ask for some refrences.

I had only 1 in the car. How ever, I bought like 10. These 10 were known brands:


Amsterdam Poppers, Jungle Juice, Blue boy





Cause the bottles were 30 ml, I re store them in little 10 ml bottles, and I end up with 30 bottles, without labels... So i'm explaning you this for you to anderstand there was no way to know wich of this brands that bottle the cops found was.(sorry for the bold, dont know how got there)

Also, the first I boght was in a store (sex shop) located in Dupount Circule (DC) called lether rack or something. They had this sime brands. I still have the bank account it shows the charge on my credit card... How am i supose to know its illegal to buy something over the counter in a top shop.


the stupid cop (there was a nice cop and a stupid ass hole one) told me "if it comes possitive for drug, we will go to your house and arrest you"


In the internet almost all webs say it is not illegal to posses "video head cleaners" or "liquid incience" but illegal to sell them. So all resources in the net say "its not illegal in USA" if u say u bought it for cleaning your video heads, but in this forum the experts tell me the oposite. The police station officer (I called a wile ago) advice me to call a farmacy and ask 4 this substance. I did, the farmasist was very nice, told me solvents r not illegal, and that they just want to know if its heroin.





I have a 25.000 financial support from my origin country university that keeps me studing here. I have big guys spectin me to become a politician (yeah right...). Also, that schoolarship only pays my studies, my parents work a lot to keep me here. My mother is a lady, but if something happends to me she will probably be here in 8 hours with a massive destruction wepon and kill from the police officer that stoped me to president bush, and then take me home, in fairfax virginia, and give me some money to make me feel better for my experience. She is not rich, she just love her sons.


I just want to go home. I'm an exelent student, resaponsable, and this country has done nothing else than treat me like a criminal for not having a social security number. I have pay over 600 in trafic tickets, I get stopped at every light... I drive like god would, but is an ugly old car, an I'm a foraing. People, gringos (americans) are the best, u have treat me so good I would stay here forever if it wasnt for the fucking goverment that will soon make all american citizens (the free land) slaves. No country in the world I've been has more fees than this one...


Maybe i dont make sense, its 2.14 pm, i'm week, get very disturb by these thing... i hate when people dont respect me, as i respect others. So forgive me if i dont make sense, i'm so tired...

SWIM(no really this happened to someone I know)was G'ed out on the
subway. The cops searched him and took a vial of GBL from him,he
refused to say what it was saying he had no idea how it got in his
pocket.

They breathalized him it came back negative,they were convinced it was
LSD and after getting his info said they would be back with a arrest
warrant. Well GBL was scheduled in that state and this was in the midst
of the 2002 G mania by the DEA yet he never heard a word.

Apparently they didn't bother running it even,who knows.



What I'm saying is if it comes back negative for opiates, coke, or meth
they likely will never even bother to submit it to a DEA lab.

Nobody gives a shit about poppers right now,they are sold openly as video head cleaner.

He's right about foreigners living on student visa's being treated like shit. They probably won't arrest you but they have been rounding up lots of people since 9/11, and not just arabs. About 3 months ago I did 10 days in the plymouth county correctional facility in MA for some court fee's, and we called my unit "little havana." My bunkmate was a harvard student busted with an 8th of pot and he was waiting for the INS to deport him, he'd been in for 2 months already. This kid was a catholic from brazil took, not even a muslim. We hoarded all the good books and talked about things like shasepeare all the time, smart guy. A lot of the guys I talked to were INS or homeland security detainees and had no connections with islam, much less radical islam. There is just a big movement in this country right now to "purify" our population.


But don't even get me started on the muslim detainees, they were there for NO reason at all. Mostly the nicest people I have met in or out of jail. One of my favorites was a guinean who fought with the Canadian and Belgian soldiers in Rawanda during the genocide. He moved to america and opened a limo service. The INS and homeland security brought him in for questioning one day ayear agoand he's been in lock-up ever since. And trust me this guy was totally innocent, he wouldn't lie about anything.


Most of the comments on this thread are from citizens of the US, and even though they're right and nothing at all will probably happen, including a fine, you are at a higher risk of exploitation by the authorities.

I hate it, cause americans are the most outgoing, friendly people, u really feel in there caracters thatcome from the land of the free, but they cant see (cause they dont know other cultures) that they are being eaten alive for a gobernment that takes property of all and every little liberty one by one. taxes and law is really coersive here. the state spends 40 % of the GDP, that is, for those who dont know much about economics, the government desides how you want to spend 40 % of your salary.

well. if u think i'm moises, u shopuld read some of my assays... but then again, my school is very oriented in these kinds of thinking, so probably any economist from my university (well, the one i'm temporarely studing here) would think alike. I think thats a good thing. Its like trying to produce inoculated economist to send them to the government, right here, in washington metropolitanm area. I dont know how effective it turns out to be.


There is lots of evidence that developed countries are following the sime pattern of an increse in the size of the government and it's coersive power. Public Choice analizis, a new and pretty cool analisis shows this is in the nature of a democratic government, because the agents involved in the political system are, in the theory that leads to create the used model, public intrest oriented, but in the practice, self interest oriented. So our political model is ok, but we are puting the wrong action figures to play in it. Humans, in their jobs, will try to expand, because being a secretary, analist, manager, whatsoever, in a bigger department, involves biger salary, so government branches will always try to expand, ask for more resources, constately create bigger projects, etc... Bussnises that have their lobby offices in Wash DC demand regulations from the government to protect them selves from furure competence, and bureacrats and politicians provide them in echange of reelection (in terms of money campaiin, supportt, etc...). The FDA, for example, is an agency that responds to the (imagine your self) infinite pressures of the different laboratories that want their medications to be sold at very high prices under prescription and subject to a lot of regulations that will l benefit them in terms that no other competitor will enter to that market.


my favorite country is canada, and i'm moving to toronto in 6-9 month. they are liberal, they recive people, they like party but their government its not drug friendly. I belive the best is to wait 1500 - 2000 years more and see what happends with mind evolution... lol

The US tries to make Colombia seem like the worst place in the world. I spent two weeks in Cartagena and had a fabulous time. Coke was about $5 for what looked like maybe 3/4 of a gram at a lot of the bars. And you're right, the girls aren't bad looking.


The farc and eln are all out in the jungle. As long as you're within reach of civilization Colombia is a relatively safe place to visit.
