Now, let's begin....

SWIM has decided that his three-month old bupe habit, consisting of between 2-6mg daily insufflation and occasional sublingualation, has run it's course of enjoyabliity.

No stranger to opioid family, SWIM now feels that a gradual reducer is in order.

SWIM has begun with a fairly sharp drop to 1mg daily, for 8 days, after which SWIM will drop further to 0.5mg, maybe for 4 days, then one day on, one day off on the same dose, followed perhaps by ceasing bupe, and replacing it with OTC codeine/APAP - 8mg/500mg for 4 days, then 4 days on 4mg/250mg codeine/APAP, then finally nothing.

Abstinence.

SWIM does not take any other psychactive drugs (including alcohol), so they will not feature in the reducer.
