how long klonopins are detectable?

swim gets drug tested about every 4 weeks at the methadone clinic(please no comments about how you shouldnt mix methadone and benzos), and want to know how long klonopins are detectable in drug tests, would it make a difference if its an oral swab test and not a piss test? swim took some last week and wants to take a few more in the next day or so, was last tested last week,a day before he took some k-pins (so he has like 3weeks before the next test). any info will be much appreciated thanks in advance.

Urine test detection period:
Benzodiazepines: Therapeutic use: 3 days. Chronic use (over one year): 4 to 6 weeks

Actually SWIM knows for sure that Klonopin is a long acting benzodiazepine and detection time is much longer. For a single dose, SWIY should give at least 7 days minimum. If more than one dose was taken, then longer. Reference benzodiazepine half life charts etc, or search the forum for more info.

Swim recalls a funny story at the local probation office. Once, there was a woman distributing clonazepam (Klonopin) in the waiting room. They were 2mg. And of course, it's about 1.5 hour wait. So it's Swim's friend's turn, who is obviously intoxicated. They tested him and it came back negative. Always wondered about that.

SWIM LMAO! Klonopin is not easily detected by typical immunoassay dips. Yes, it is long acting but it breaks down to 7-aminoclonazepam. Most immunoassays SWIM knows about react with oxazepam metabolite.

SWIM is prescribed 7mg / day, and has been on Klonopin for over 10 years, daily (yes, SWIM is VERY dependent on the pharmaceutical). A drug test was given by SWIM's physican multiple times over the course of years. SWIM also was placed on probation for 5 years, tested every two weeks, and though a positive for benzos was "OK", SWIM have NEVER tested positive (unlike when SWIM takes alprazolam or lorazepam) on ANY occasion.
