amphetamine alternatives

in the past years many substances with effects similar to amphetamine
have been synthesized by the pharmaceutical industry. unfortunately
most of them have been taken from the market in the last years. but
some are still produced, although they are prescribed very rarely.

does anyone tried any of these substances? how are the effects in relation with amphetamine?

methylphenidat, aka ritaline, surely the best known pharmaceutical upper atm:





pemolin, also used for add-treatment, probably damages the liver when taken to often:



the next substances are also found in catha edulis, but they where also sold as medicaments:

i also heard of a substance called propylhexedrine, sold as benzedrex. this one also seems to be a usable upper:





any experiences with these or related substances?

swim experimented using 2 benzadrex inhalers. he took the cotton out, cut it into little pieces, put them in empty capsules and ingested. the effect were actually suprisingly euphoric, swim thought more so than adderall. however there was a bit of nausea which was managable but not pleasant. theres a whole thread on propylhexedrine, look into that.

...the first two you need a persription for, the third is illegal in
the US, and benzedrex is an OTC nasal decongestant (each package
contains only 250mg of the substance). I don't know if I would want to
suck up an entire bottle of that stuff just to get spun.

a legal stimulant is yohimbine HCl and is sold as a body building product. it's an legal stimulant alternative, but in no way structually similar to methamphetamine. Edited by: BEEKSc1

Forget about yohimbine hclas an amphetamine replacement. It is strong, but is not comparable.

it sounds like swim has some personal experience with yohimbine hcl, if so... is it an cns stim? and does it help with attention, concentration as with amphetes? or is it that weak?

i understand it is very different, but isYohimbine HClan psychostimulant as is with coke and amphetes? that helps with concentration and focus, etc...

yohimbe? I am just wondering if it would be a better buy to get some
HCL than an extract.

it's prescription methamphetamine, very rarely if ever prescribed for the obvious recreational potential.

yes, but nothing comparable to AMP or meth. even ephedrine hcl is much
more stimulating than yohimbine hcl. ephedrine and yohimbine hcl is use
for bodybuilding purposes not for a reacreational good time. stick with
AMPs and meth for that. trust me cuz i'm a bodybuilder.

I was scripted this for a few years. To me it is more along the lines of
cocaine then ampehtamine, only a bit longer lasting and with a bit more
focus.

I experimented with this twice just to see the effects. Did a simple single
step alcohal extraction of the inhailer cotton, evap'ed on a pyrex plate
and consumed the lavender flavored leftovers. effects were noticable, but
no better then drinking a a couple red bulls. No real side effects noticed
at the 200+mg level, effects lasted roughly 5 hours, marked by increased
focus, increased heart rate, small appitite, and desire to do lots of graffiti.
Well the last one might not happen to everyone, that was more set and
setting.

Rarely yes.......but it is prescribed

Modafinil simply keeps SWIM awake when he takes it, no euphoria, concentration is not especially enhanced, etc. Not all that recreational, unless sleep deprivation is your bag.
