Health - Heroin and teeth

As many of you know long term Heroin use destroy your teeth.
People lost teeth after long period of daily H use. Teeth first come Brown and then fall.
I don't know if it's due to the cut or to a side effects of H itself.
The problem can be due by the cut substance they use in Italy (my country). So I'm asking if someone had this problem or if he noticed it in Junkies in his own country.
