Legal status of Benzylpiperazine in EU countries

hi

this thread is supposed to be about the legality of BZP in EU countries. SWIM only knows of one: Germany, and its illegal there since march 2008, schedule II BtmG

Re: Legal status of BZP in EU countries

As said by Alfa, replying to one of my post, the EU recommend to ban it :

The BZP is banned since May 2008 in France.

Re: Legal status of BZP in EU countries

No I dont think so.
Its still okay in part in the UK
I think selling for abuse (like poppers) may be frowned upon but its not controlled yet. At least if it is a lot of shops are very openly breaking the law!

Re: Legal status of BZP in EU countries

You can buy it inthe UK on the web for "research purposes" in pure form SWIM tried it got some and claimed it was fine, although said without mixing with something else like sugar was hard to measure 1/5g.

Re: Legal status of BZP in EU countries

I would check the ban as some areas the ban maybe for retail sales but not for ordering online for personal use.

Re: Legal status of BZP in EU countries

Sven the fictional character has purchased some recently online for research purposes. He heard in the UK it cannot be sold without a prescription (impossible to get because it has no medical use) but it is legal to possess or to purchase from abroad. He hasn't found an official source for this though. He has seen a variety of websites still selling BZP, but some have stopped citing a change in the law.
