Psilocybin Mushrooms and Alcoholism
Not sure if I spelled that right, but -
SWIM wants to know if a history of alcoholism/addiction would be a problem with shrooms. Could it result in a manifest of mental problems after tripping? Thanks! |

Re: Alcoholism a problem with Psyicobile shrooms?
Is the person currently an alcoholic or are they sober? Tripping always has a risk of a negative experience, even in the happiest and most mentally healthy of people. If the person has doubt, it is best to avoid. When one is confident and comfortable, then mushrooms can be experienced. It could be one of the most wonderful experiences of one's life. It certainly was for SWIM, who has a long history of severe problems. Always tread carefully with psychedelics - if one is still an alcoholic, achieving sobriety is probably essential before attempting a trip.
Approximately 1.3g dried Psilocybe cubensis should be sufficient for a first time. This is a relatively low dose. |

Re: Alcoholism a problem with Psyicobile shrooms?
Psilocybin is often recommended to alcoholics as an introspective tool enabling them to face their problems head on. So magic mushroom use may be beneficial to an alcoholic. But don't mix alcohol and mushrooms directly. It tends to result in vomiting (or some clown jumping out of a building but that's another story).

Re: Alcoholism a problem with Psyicobile shrooms?
Me and my homeboy from siruis B were talking to the pope once about his alcoholism and he has always said drinking will dull your trip right out and its best to save it for 4+ hours in once the trip is already slowing down. As a side not the pope says he absconds with less of the sacremental wine the first few days after doseing.
If i was a professional clown id jump out the window after a few years of trying to entertain a bunch of whiny kids at birthday party's for shit pay. Speaking of which one of grandmas old roommates had a degree in clownology. There should be more anarcho-clowns doing street theater! |

I was under the impression the drunken clown fell off his balcony, maybe he was vomiting over the balcony prior to his fall.

Re: Alcoholism a problem with Psyicobile shrooms?
Sorry guys, I meant to say "family history". I, myself, am not an alcoholic. Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem though. Thanks!
