Is swim the only one or are there any other fishes who cannot stomache the smell of amphetamines at all. Even the slightest wiff and swim wants to puke so that is why swim quickly wraps theres in a cigarette paper and swallows it with a drink of water before that horrid smell of stale cats urine hits you.

Swim loves it, he had some in his ashtree, while he was a none-smoker and only the smell of it made him lucky and warm inside.

In the states SWIM has only really seen methamphetamine and there was no smell at all.

Is the smell because of impurities?

Yep, prob. dimers and trimers, short shain amines through cleavage and reforming the amine and/or unreacted base adhering to the salt.

The pure one rather is just a biting, "acidic" ammonia smell.

What is the smell of amphetamine ? Swim remembers the sweet, acidic smell of wet amphetamine powder (sulphate?), probably caused by residual P2P, which was present in free base amphetamine prior to salting. When no P2P smell is present sometimes an amine like smell is noted. The suggestion by Stoneinfocus of dimerisation could be a reasonable explanation for that; this would give NH3 liberation? Are such dimers known to be formed? Or other polymeric substances?

SWIM absolutely loves the scent; of high grade speed that is. The kind that penetrates the air-tight bag it's in. It smells like what I would imagine a dissected angel would smell like. However, often the smell of whatever it's been cut with will ruin it and it'll reek of plaster or something.

The taste is always great, though.

When swim first tried amphetamin he couldnt stand the smell or the taste. Now, swim doesnt mind anymore. He gets quite happy to know its the real deal and gets excited.

swim used to eat benidrex inhalers for the amphetimene like effect. He at the inhalers on three different occasions. He ended up puking on each of the three occasions. Nowadays, the smell of it immediately induces vomiting (litterly,) and even the thought of benidrex makes swims stomach turn... swims stomach is turning badly right now just watching me type this

euro-amphetamine almost smells for two reasons:

- frousy cook

- already dried amphetamine gets cut and "perfumed" the way people in the
region expect their speed to smell. sometimes a bit phenylacetone is added,
a bit of ammonia or some non-polar solvents. sometimes it is amphetamine
base itself that smells.
