Any of you all ever heard of the research groups that take 10-15 people, lock em in a room for a week or so and give em ketamine to see what happens? It's pretty big around here and I know of a few places/people that do this. They pay you pretty big money for your time too.

haha, no I'm serious. Where i come from theres studies for everything, coke, heroin, K, weed, they pay you to participate in different studies, i guess to see how people react. So I guess its not that common, lol

I understand that research with ketamine is a lot more common than research with say cocaine or LSD, because ketamine's legal status is less prohibitive in most countries.

There are a number of people doing studies on this, claiming that the
drug is life-changing enough to cure alcoholics, depression, phobias,
etc. There is also work being done with the use of ketamine
against heroin addiction.



I know a lot of this kind of thing is going on in Russia. Evgeny Krupitsky is one of the main researchers on this.
