Re: Motion Sickness Pills

Bongo finds 200mg an optimal dose for helping him sleep when he has insomnia. Other than that - you are obviously not UTFSE (Search-Engine). There is loads of info here about this substance.

Say Good-Night, Gracie.

Re: Motion Sickness Pills

SWIY should look into using the dramamine patches that go behind your ear. SWIM gets horribly sea sick when he goes on cruises, but those patches work like a charm for entire days if you put em on in the morning.

Re: Motion Sickness Pills

Diphenhydramine (and by extension dimenhydrinate) on its own has very mild SSRI action (in fact it was the basis for development of medications like Prozac) so it is unlikely that Prozac's SSRI action will have any negative interaction with dimenhydrinate. However studies of drug interactions probably have not considered those who take massive amounts of antihistamines.

I would say start low and pay careful attention to any signs of respiratory depression. Not to say that effect would likely be an issue but one never knows.

SWIM agrees with the respiratory depression issue here.

When SWIM was but a wee lad he knew some silly silly fellahs that combined a shedload of travel sickness pills with a shedload of alcahol and almost died due to (almost) respiratory failure... be careful
