Read the police their rights
I found this video a while ago some guy in England catches police on film and they start making up laws as they go.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=VfQrDK9YHas&feature=related This is how we all should deal with the police. Let them know they're not above the law either. |

Re: Read the police their rights
LMAO!!!!!!! What a classic example of police trying to bully people! At least the guy filming was clever enough to know the what he was doing and not to give in. How outragous though that after all of that harrassment the police didnt even have the decency to say sorry! bastards...

Re: Read the police their rights
Yeah they just walked off without a word of explanation. I wonder what they woulda said to him if he'd turned off the camera. "We'll let you off with a warning this time but next time we catch you with your camera we're gonna arrest you".
The Nibbler has talked to alot of cool police officers so he's not saying they're all bad on the contrary alot of people join the police force because they really want to help but there are alot of scumbags and thugs who join so they can abuse people legally. |

Re: Read the police their rights
Unfortunately, even the cops who aren't sociopaths enforce a number of laws that SWIM can't see any respectable person enforcing. That is, unless they are one of the rare cops who are simultaneously doing what they can to have said laws overturned.

Suspended with pay. How absurd. If it were up to me he'd be jobless and homeless. Last edited by Coconut; 03-07-2008 at 16:49. Reason: "in a jobless" makes no sense :( |

Re: Read the police their rights
Shit even the police in Jamaica aren't that bad. Even the bad ones might beat you up and crack some bad jokes but they don't act like that. He sounds like a steroid freak. Juice monkey. Its a good thing everyone in America have cameras on their phones nowadays. Most people don't even have cellphones in my country so the scumbags rarely get caught on tape.

Re: Read the police their rights
My father is a knife enthusiast. He works as an osteopath, and treats a large chunk of the local police force. When all the knife laws changed, he was teaching the cops of the area about which knives were legal to carry, and which weren't. Its actually legal to carry a fixed-blade knife on you at any time provided you have a valid reason to be doing so. Unfortunately killing someone isn't a valid reason, and if you say that to a cop, they tend to arrest you.
An ex-collegue came out of a night club to see the cops fighting 2 drunk guys who it turned out had a lot of pills on them, he thought it was funny and started filming them. One realised they were being filmed and shouted at him to put his phone down, took his details and threatened to nick him if it ended up on the internet. Which would be ridiculously interesting to see if it happened because the video clearly shows more than one cop taking pills out of the bag they conviscated off the drunk guys, and shoving them in their pockets, something tells me, they'd get in a bit more shit than he even could be. |

Re: Read the police their rights
Great video, the police make a wonderful point in reality documentaries in the UK (like roadwars) how they can film anyone they want on public property regardless of weather they have commit a crime or not. Yet they have the fucking cheek to moan about someone on their own private property filming them? Huge double standard.
Good on the bloke, fuck the pigs! |

Re: Read the police their rights
Wow. What I gather from this video is that the officer, feeling like Superman with a badge, simply became irritated that he was being filmed and decided to see what he could attempt to get away with. His partner followed along. Even if she did think her partner was wrong, she sure as hell isn't going to say otherwise. She too thinks she is all powerful with a badge.
Luckily, Darren knows his rights! If it were any less informed individual, these cops probably would have gotten away with it and the citizen would have been none the wiser! I had some good chuckles during this video. Darren is hilarious! Future_Narc_Officer added 6 Minutes and 49 Seconds later... As posted by fnord earlier in this thread: "reading the comments i found this: Quote: hey darren mate ther dont do enough trainin us firefighters do when that copper woman said was offence and bet she fort when she walked off and she put her head in sand you do what u do darren coppers no nothin about law Does this make sense to anyone?" It makes sense to me, I think. ![]() What I gather is that the person is saying that the cops don't get as much training as the firefighters do. Basically, the "copper woman" and her partner realized they had nothing on Darren so they walked off and "put their head in the sand", as the expression goes. "Coppers no nothin about law." About the best I can do at the moment. Last edited by Future_Narc_Officer; 25-01-2009 at 04:49. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

Re: Read the police their rights
Great stuff, I absolutely loved that video! Funny how the coppers can't even manage to apologise to him for intruding onto his private property and getting the law wrong. They just walk off without a word! Twats.

Re: Read the police their rights
Yes the guy doing the filming was in the right but he still didn't need to be a self-righteous twat about it. As in all professions there are some police who aren't quite on the ball or particularly experienced. Police are only human at the end of the day, both officers were obviously far too embarrassed to apologise (not saying they shouldn't have) and I'm sure won't make the same mistake again. No need to rub it in their faces?
