Trips in general...

Don't expect it to be quite like how you see it portrayed on TV/Film.
Took me a while before I came to terms with the fact that no drug is
going to transport me into an alternate universe filled with crystal
clear hallucinations of living creatures as I fly through a vortex
hearing reverberated voices (or at least no drug that I've tried,
salvia was close though).

Writing about a trip is like dancing about architecture. To really
convey how it feels takes a skilled and talented writer. Most of the
experience reports on erowid aren't exactly written by poets. Something
will always get lost in the translation from feeling to word, and when
you compound that with your own preconceptions, really understanding how
a drug will feel without taking it is pretty difficult (especially with
a hallucinogen).

Erowid. Erowid. Erowid. It is the de facto resource for drug information. Read the 'experiences'.

What you're asking is almost impossible to answer. It's akin to asking, "what are drugs like?". It's not that it's impossible to explain (nothing's impossible to explain), just that to adequately answer your question in a post would take a few months to compose.

Like ISBN said, read the morning glory experiences on Erowid and do your research on the drug. (In particular, I'd advise you to watch out for commercially available seeds treated with fungicide.) Know your source, know your body, know your mind or whatever

Probably the best description of psychedelic drug effects is AldousHuxley's The Doors of Perception. It's about mescaline, not LSA, but you asked for a description of 'tripping' in general.

Probably a pretty good way to get to feel the 'vibe' of a trip is psychedelic music: Pink Floyd, Hendrix, later Beatles stuffetc.Edited by: Hyperreal
