Cocaine Abuse Spreading

A new study’s shown that more and more people in Sweden are taking cocaine and that users are getting younger.

Researchers say there’s a myth that cocaine is not as dangerous as other drugs and it has fallen in price dramatically in the last few years. While cocaine is still seen as a ”party drug”, use is said to have been growing rapidly among men in their 20’s, and in particularly among those in the construction industry.
But the Swedish Council for Information on Alcohol and other Drugs, which carried out the study, says cocaine use here is still not as common as other drugs, such as amphetamines.
