Is this normal?

I smoked some 5x in a bong today, i did it properly holding it in for 30 secs. After 4 inhalations i couldn't carry on and put the bong down, i felt itchy and uncomfortable. I laid down in an silent room. I just felt like i had been folded up like a piece of paper (don't know how else to explain it) i didn't know where i was, and all i remember thinking is i hope this finishes soon. It felt like everytime my heart beated a big hand had come down from the sky and 'judo chopped' me. It finally wore off after a gooooood 10 mins. I felt extremely relieved and got the muchies (don't know if thats normal).I just felt extremely scared and fucked to the max. I'm just wondering if this experience is normal as i didn't have any visions, i just felt really really really really stoned. Do i need more to have visions?

Yes it is, thats exactly what would happened to me but usually on a
more extreme scale. I have smoked all kinds of salvia and never got any
visuals, only head trips that would completely space me out. Your
experience is why most people who try salvia never go back to it, cause
its uncomfortable.

I've gotten some harsh body buzzes off it once I felt I was
ripped in half another unzipped from head to foot. A friend of
mine felt slices (6" to 12") come off his body starting at the head all
the way down till he was gone .

I usually get very sweaty and itchy sometimes. My first time, with my own extraction and completely went to a dream world for a few minutes. Crazy The other times I just crack up laughing.

I rarely don't have visions I smoke 100mg 5x in one toke and hold as
long as I can and have visions everytime. In order to not go into
the dreamstate I have to drop the dose to like 50mg or less, or mix a
bit with some weed and smoke a full bowl normally (5-6 tokes about 1-2
mins apart) and get some of the gentle effects.

Salvia trips are not like regular acid visuals. You won't see them,
they just happen to you. Four inhalations seems like too many. I only
need one. Here is my checklist for smoking 5x:



-use a gravity bong

-put 1/6-1/4gm in the bowl

-burn it using a torch, not a bic lighter

-play some sort of industrial, experimental music - I like songs like
Parmegiani's "Sons-jeu" from his La Memoire des Sons album.

-wear loose fitting, preferably silk, clothing without socks or underwear

-have some sort of simple child s toy to play with for after you 'come back'

-have water to drink if the smoke bothers you



Most people have a bad experience when they first break through, smoke
it a few more times and wou will come to enjoy it. You can't base your
judgement on one small glimpse of the drug, you just won't understand
it from one experience. After a few times ( 3 or so) you will have much
more predictable trips.

Yes that is normal. Hardly anything bout salvia is normal. I get the zip-rip feeling aswell also extreme gravity pull (i cannot begin to explain my salvia experiences anywhere near accuratley. Is the "weirdest" darkest drug out there. i have much respect with salvia, out of 6 of us that tried it 4 hated it.

I can not brag that I have done all that there is to offer but I can say it is the weirdest darkest I have tried!

to computer god, i liked your reply, the first couple times i tried it
it was a bit uncomfortable but it was only a glimpse, i am now a
relative avid user of 20x and have had some beautiful experiences. if
you can open your mind to salvia it can take you places you can only go
with salvia. i dont know how else to explain it.

I haven't always had visuals - when I trip off of it, usually it is that I am in a completely different place -- it doesn't matter if my eyes are open or not, I do not see what is around me physically, only what is in my mind.
