oxycodone retard
hi!
how much would SWIY recommend SWIM to take? he got some 80 mg oxy retard, and has just a slight (not worth mentioning) tolerance (but quite some experiences with opioids in general, just the retard thing confuses him really).. ?! |

Re: oxycodone retard
If it's on the packet 'Retard' might mean extended release, hope that helps...

Re: oxycodone retard
Well...from SWIMs experience with XR drugs, SWIM can say that because of the far greater half-life of the chemical, it takes longer for the same amount to be released into the bloodstream. For example SWIM had a chemical he took 37mg and it made him nauseous but the same chemical he could take 150mg of extended release and he would be fine. With the regular tabs there seemed to be more of a quick 'spike' and then a down - XR tabs are often made for this reason, for chemicals with low half lives that they just don't last very long and have pronounced side effects due to their rapid absorption. Not to replace this with normal professional medical advice, but SWIM thinks SWIY should just try what he normally tries, and if the 'spike' is not there which he is looking for, he should increase within reason. However, the extended release may lead to softer, more long lasting euphoria which could serve SWIY well. Good luck!

Re: oxycodone retard
SWIM agrees that oxycodone is too dangerous to 'try' at doses higher than previously taken, but what SWIM means is, if SWIY are worried that 80mg of oxycodone retard is somehow 'more' than regular oxycodone, SWIM can't see how that can be the case, and if anything the high should be less 'sharp' 'high hitting' and pronounced, but perhaps more soft, pleasant and long lasting. this is SWIMs experience with retard drugs, though he has never taken oxycodone specifically.
SWIM feels he cannot offer advice specifically relating to oxycodone, because, as he said, he has never taken it, but has tried to offer his considerable experience with extended release drugs. SWIM wishes more people would reply on these forums, but perhaps this is because it is not very responsible to give medical advice ![]() |
