Dose - Duragesic V.S. Actiq

Hey guys, here is something swim couldnt figure out. Perhaps some of the the people who arent members of this site could help him with. He had one of the duragesic patchs, the strongest one 1200 mcg. He read that with no tolerance it could kill him if applied. Instead, being the reckless person he is, he smoked the gel and chewed on the leftover plastic. He said this got him high as hell like 20 times. Recently however, He came across the actiq pops that are 1200mcg. Now when he eats one of these all at once he gets high but not as high as the patch and certainly not 20 times. What gives? Whats the deal here? Shouldnt the pop have killed swim if it was all that fentanyl?

Well firstly swiy is talking about fentanyl not morphine.Hmm just what is swiy's tolerance?How often has swiy used fentanyl?

Oh Sorry should Swim have posted this elsewhere.? Anyway, at the time of the patch he was at baseline and at the time of the first couple pops he was baseline. Now however, its a different story. hehe

The patch gel is intended for long-term (3-day) administration and also contains alcohol, among other things. Abusing the patch will result in a more immediate release of the drug, whereas the pop is intended specifically for sub-mucosal administration. I'm assuming the route of admin. is the key factor here.
