Addiction - has anyone tried to tapper with codeine?

tittle says it al, basicaly swim replased after 4 years... (idiot) and have only mild tolerance, but enough for not-so-easily-manageable withdrawal, especially that he doesn't live alone (not even sleeping alone in the room)

How long does it last if tappered down with codeine?

swim has to use something, because if he get busted that he relapsed and wd'ing he is as good as dead

SWIMs only experience with codeine was about a year and a half ago....she performed a CWE a couple of times to try using codeine to deal with the (fairly bad) withdrawals she was getting from suddenly stopping heavy morphine use. As she had been taking between fifteen to twenty times 30mg MST tablets the maximum 30mg of morphine that she found out codeine could convert into was next to useless. In fact for some reason she has not figured out she actually felt worse after taking the codeine than she did before. After trying these CWE's a couple of times she gave up. So....SWIM personally doesn't recommend codeine for any kind of opiate withdrawal. That said a lot of people seem to really find it helps so I guess it's just a case of trial and experiment. Find out what works for SWIY. I'm sure it is possible to taper with codeine.......SWIY says you only have a mild tolerance...how mild are we talking about here?? Obviously what SWIY is taking and how much will have a massive bearing on how successful SWIY will be using codeine.

this time swim has very mild tolerance due to bad quality dope. Lets say that 200mg x 3 per day makes him go trough the day without jitters, cramps and rls but only 2-3 hours of sleep

My advice to anyone going through opiate addiction has to be to get professional help. It's just so hard going through it by yourself ... especially when you don't need too....feel free to PM me if you like.....

Swim has used dihydrocodeine to do there withdrawl in the past but it took between 15 to 20*30mg tablets a day just to fell something like and they didn't help for that long. Swim would agree with swibeena get professional help if it's too much.
