SWIM thought of a hypothetical experiment and would like me to tell you all about it and ask some opinions:
1) SWIM harvest some fresh poppy heads from SWIMs garden about 30-40 all sizes.
2) SWIM mashed them in a blender with 500 mL warm water.
3) SWIM heated the water for about 2.5 hours.
4) SWIM repeated step 3 with 250mL water. Pooled liquids.
5) SWIM filtered the water through wire mesh, cloth, then filter paper.
SWIM then had brown reddish liquid.
6) SWIM spent couple days cooking it down.
so now SWIM has question about this hypothetical situation.
Suppose SWIM is left with this black reddish oozey gunk. Its about the sizes of two of those bouncy balls one can get at the 25 cent machines in grocery stores. SWIM didn't weigh it because its still too oozey. It has the consistency of hash oil but a little bit more solid. What should SWIM do with this stuff? Let it dry out more? Its certainly not flakey and not totally dry. SWIM was concerned about burning it so didn't let it get much drier with heat. Can it be processed down more?
Any advice on this theoretical situation would be appreciated thanks!
