Valerian

I took two pills and started to feel like I was tipsy, then I felt the walls narrow a bit and everything started to feel like it was denting in and I was above it. Then when I was in the shower drops of water fell on my leg and the hairs moved fast like it was a photo slideshow...I felt a bit light headed and don't feel tired for some reason...is this normal effects of it? Also after my shower I was going to put a shirt on and already noticed it was on, and same with my towel...please give answers.

Re: Valerian

Was this the first time swiy ever used valerian? It does actually have some unique effects at first. These effects are especially noticeable if combined with things like passion flower.Over time though swiy will develop a tolerance and usually valerian will just make someone with a tolerance drowsy.

Yeah it was the first time. Nothing was mixed and I'm wondering if these effects happen.

Re: Valerian

They certainly could.Swim uses valerian on a very regular basis and is very accustomed to it.It seems to effect some people more than others. The second time swim used it he layed in bed and felt as if he had melted into the bed and was then floating.Ofcourse he also mixed chamomile, passionflower, and skullcap with it.This tea was higher in valerian content than anything else though so swim would not say that these kind of things are abnormal.

Re: Valerian

I think about 500 mg, also is it unusual for it to last 1 hour and 50 minutes the effects, because I counted the time via computer.

That actually is alot, especially for someone just trying valerian.Would not be an extreme amount for swim.Long lasting effects are not unusual either. Some of swims teas can be felt for hours.

Re: Valerian

Did I overdose or something of that sort, and do some people feel a numbing of the body. What would you rate this from 1 to 10 being 10 is the best. I really want to know if this is a good type of drug.

Re: Valerian

An od?Nah lol!1 to 10?Thats a little hard for swim seeing swim is really into much more serious substances than herbal drugs. However if we are just talking about herbal drugs here swim would give valerian about a 5 if 10 is the highest.Good stuff for swims insomina but as a recreational substance?Nah not too recreational.

Oh by the way please read the rules and remember to swim!Very important here.Valerian similar to lsd?LOL!!Don't know what kind of acid swiy gets but if valerian was like lsd swim would give it a much bigger rating than a 5.

Re: Valerian

Uh swim wouldn't compare it to anything really.Valerian is valerian. When combined with a high amount of chamomile it might have a slight benzodiazepine feel at first.

Re: Valerian

Because swiy wasn't really used to the substance. However those sound rather mild and insignificant compared to a dose of lsd.Perhaps swiy has not used a large amount of mind altering substances so just a minor experience is mindblowing?

Re: Valerian

Swim is gonna be trying valerian and chamilole for sleep aid. swims doctor thought trazadone would be better but swim prefers natural aids. valerian actually sounds kinda cool at fisrt. But swim highly doubts it will be like acid, lol.

Re: Valerian

Valerian is definately nothing like LSD. SWIM uses valerian on a semi-regular weekly basis. Like 2-4 days a week when swim wants a good sleep. Valerian just makes SWIM drowsy and more susceptible to falling asleep.

SWIM smokes cannabis habitually so he is always high at night (when he takes valerian and goes to sleep) so if anything he imagines it would amplify the effects of the valerian and he's never experienced breathing walls or any lsd-type visuals from valerian even in combo with weed.

Also, he likes to throw some kava into the mix from time to time with his valerian and cannabis. The kava definately adds a more euphoric effect to the valerians sedative qualities. Kava, valerian and cannabis is SWIM's favorite nighttime sleep combination.

Anyhow, as far as SWIM's concerned valerian has no lsd-like qualities whatsoever.

Re: Valerian

smells bad, but valerian works great with Chamomile, and makes a great tasting tea. If swiy wants to go th extra mile, mix it with kava to get even better results

Re: Valerian

swim just went to the store. was bored and said why not. swim just took 6 capsules.(2700mg). hopefully swim will feel more relaxed. and swim took 2 percs and 3 tramadol earlier. didn't really feel anything off of that. hopefully the the valerian will almost act as a benzo. swim will take more in 30mins if no effects are felt.

Vagisil added 153 Minutes and 5 Seconds later...

hmmm, subtle relaxation. was happy and a little euphoric. but effects went away.

Shit in SWIM's opinion. Benzo's for the win!

SWIM tried Valerian tea a couple of times. It is too mild for him. The only thing that always works for him is Melatonin (or Benzos, but he doesn't like them).
