4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

swim's friend recently had an experience where they had snorted an oral dose of 4-aco-dmt (around 22-24mg) and about 3 hours afterwards spit into the sink when they were in the bathroom - they noted their phlegm was colored blue (and it wasn't the drugs). It looked like someone had added a drop of food coloring similar to the color of the blue in the question mark icon that accompianies this post title and mixed it around with their spit.

Should i tell swim's friend to stick to oral use, or is their some kind of explanation to this? Swim knows that sometimes mushrooms have a blueish tinge to them about the same color as the spit was noted to be, so maybe their is some kind of corelation ???

halftone added 2 Minutes and 6 Seconds later...

sorry, i mis-typed oral use in the thread title.. can someone delete please.

Re: 4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

Very interesting. The experiment's results would have to be replicated before bothering making any assumptions.

Psilocin rapidly turns blue in the air. Various other 4-substituted tryptamines, such as miprocin and ipracetin, rapidly break down in solution in some way which produces a strong blue/black tint. To find out that perhaps psilacetin turns blue after being in the mucous membranes for a few hours is not too shocking.

Re: 4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

That would be my guess - GUESS. Without more facts, it will remain as such. But as I recall - the blue-staining of psilocin is from the carboxylation of the molecule. Could make for an interesting study when the gates of research are, again, flung open.

Re: 4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

Hmm. Seems like maybe some of the chemical was recycled into the mucus membranes like Radiometer said. Kinda weird huh? once swim took a 35mg dose of 4-aco-dmt and wound up vomiting due to problems he had with an undercooked turducken (it's a turkey stuffed with a cheicken and a duck... I've heard kenny rogers loves it) sandwich and swim's stomach contents was turned a dark blue/black from the chemical.

That was probably the spirits of the duck, turkey, and chicken collectively ganging up on you for eating such a monstrosity in the first place.

Could have been worse. The Monkey could have sewn the Turkey up in a whole Monkfish and baked it.

Re: 4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

I read a post were someone had dissolved 4-aco-dmt in water and it turned blue, this is most likely what happened up his nasal cavity :P

Re: 4-aco-dmt... blue phlegm after

i puked shocking blue puke once after eating a load of shrooms.psilocybin is supposedly blue in colour in the mushroom and since it is metabolised to psilocin in the gut, then psilocin would apear to be blue as well,as evidenced by my puke.now we find psilacetin turns blue as well.i wonder whether the term royal blue may have an origin in this?
