Experiences - Questions about LSD: Second trip. No Effects

Several months ago, SWIM took a hit of LSD blotter. It was the most intense and informative experience he had ever came across in his life. So of course SWIM felt he had to share these truths with his best friend. So for months SWIM searched for 2 hits of LSD. Well, SWIM eventually found what he seeked and got it from a pretty reliable friend. Well, this experience was highly dissapointing in comparison to the last. There was no "trip" and if any of the effects were felt it was the smallest amount ever. So SWIM wanted to know if he was sold bunk or just didn't do it under the right conditions.

(SWIM took Adderall XR 30mg the day before and did the LSD in the daytime rather then at night, also he didn't smoke marijuana the second time.)

Potency of acid can vary greatly between different tabs, while one will give a great trip, the other may be barely noticeable, also there's no trip like the first one

No, it doesn't, it depends on three main factors: set, setting and quantity/quality of acid

For swim, if he takes it in the city, country or beach it is a different experience. Then you add day or night, and those make different experiences too. Swim says everytime he's done lsd it has been a different experience

Day or night doesn't make a bleedin' difference to SWIM.

Just yesterday he had one of the most beautiful, beyond euphoric, exciting trips of his life (shrooms) while laying out in a field under the sun. Also swim's first experience with a substance is almost never the best experience with said substance. For what it's worth...

Sounds like swiy just got some weak shit, or perhaps it was something like a low dose RC.

What is a RC? :\
It would be dissapointing if SWIM's dealer would do that because they have been friends for years. Also, the first stuff that SWIM took without his best friend was with his dealer. It was given to SWIM free and it was one of the most insightful and beautiful things ever experienced by SWIM.

Don't think it's swiy's dealer trying to screw him up, even if it's not lsd his dealer probably doesn't know that either, he would have to be way up the dealing ladder to actually know what is in the stuff he sells.

Also RC = Research Chemical, if it's in blotter form it would prebably be one of the DOx molecules

SWIM took around 500 ug of some solid fluff (saw it dipped from the crystal itself) at a big camp festival his friends held in the woods a few weeks ago and didn't feel anything beyond a pronounced euphoria and a bit of "watery warmth" to colors. It was only he and one of his other friends who took it and both reported the same effects.

A few days ago they took about half that dose, alone, and it was one of the most powerful experiences he has ever had. His friend shared this sentiment.

LSD is an extremely fickle substance, but he was completely dumbfounded by the differences in the experience. The best he can reckon is that somewhere subconsciously he was holding on to reality so that he could stay on the same plane as the people who weren't tripping.

A dose of 500 ug just shouldn't be that subjective, though. It seems the more SWIM takes this drug, the more its action becomes a mystery.

Maybe not for enjoyment level, but it does make for a very different experience.

My panda finds that he gets more vivid OEVs at night, perhaps due to all the shadows and/or artificial lighting.

Day vs. night can be a big difference for swim. For him, the OEVs are definitely more pronounced in the night time. During the day everything is vibrant and full of energy. During the night the beast comes out to play.
