Other - Skin/alcohol extraction

Hello, I am new to the forum and have a question whose answer i could not find.

SWIM has recently recieved some san pedro cuttings, 2 of which will be planted and cared for. The others will be used.

SWIM wanted to know if the peeling of the skin was necessary for an alcohol extraction.

General idea:
de-spine
de-core
dry
grind to powder
extract into alcohol.

SWIM has already taken the skin off of one cutting and he found it to be incredibly time consuming. Could he simply leave the skin intact and have the unwanted chemicals not extracted (except a little that might be extracted into the water portion of the alcohol) or would the alcohol dissolve the nasty's in the skin?
