switching from iv to insufflation to taper off heroin?

what do you think is the best method to do this?? im 18 and i shoot bout 4 dimes everyday and im trying to get rid of my habit so if i could break it down to snortin would that work?? because quitting snortin is easier then quitting iv.

Quitting a snorting habit is not really any easier than quitting an iv habit. You should just gradually step down the amount you shoot on a daily basis.

man believe me, im 19 and have a very high opiate tolerance and i shoot on a daily basis and snorting H or pills will not make it any easier. If you want to quit go to rehab or atleast try to gradually step off the drugs, but that usually doesnt work, ever. If you are as bad as you say you are you are most likely going to need medical help to help you with your addiction. I have tried numerous methods of rehab and none of them worked besides one, the drug naltrexone, it is an opiate blocker. The best thing that ever happened to me

Smilla is right BMORE SOULJA, the only way to get yourself off of H is to slowly wein yourself off... from my experience reading about it on here, and talking to councelors you wont go from 4 dimes one day to nothing a week later. its going to take time. Maybe u could talk to your insurance co and see if they can get you into a methadone clinic? yea maybe not the answer 100% but maybe it could help a lil. maybe some NA (narcodics anyomous)... i cant think of it but there is another drug other then naltrexone that helps with the side effects of being off H. People have talked about it on this forum a few times and there are even detailed reports posted about it everyone who has taken this med has said nothing but great things about it.

Some people find that if they talk on here they find the every day coping of trying to get off the stuff helps. There is a thread called if you scratch my back now i swear I... with VincentVan as the thread starter. He's been working to get off of the H for a lil while now and last i checked he was doing good. Check that thread out a lot of people in there talk about how they kicked the habbit.

i was on bup bout 3 weeks ago i had 14 days clean but i got depressed and went back to my old ways i cant stand dis shit nomore my car got repossessed and my cable got turned off im mad as hell and dis shit gotta stop

Best of luck to ya man. Ive been in your shoes before and went to a methadone clinic and got on a monsterous dose 110mg and that was the only thing that could stop me. I moved, weaned off the meth, a month later I was back shooting oxys and eating ultrams then I went to the bupe 20mg per day and here I am. Jonesed like a bitch the first month on the bupe but I confined myself to the house and got my family to help me so I hope I make it this time. I'm tired of being broke and watching all that money go in my arm.

Yea i agree. if you adm,ist yourself to rehab they will be easier on you god forbid if you ever had to get put in there by the courts of the state laws

Sounds like rough times but the only way to make things easier on you is to say fuck the drugs and try to live a clean life... hell see if you can get into rehab. Get your life straightened out before u loose everything your house your fam or what ever. i know it's gonna be hard but you did 14 days, now try to do 28 days... slowly over time you will get back to being ontop of your game

got in 23 days off the dilaudid, iv, high tolarance with little med help at detox. but I just recently started puffin weed , I find it helps with mental desire, but I'm still constantly stoned.20 or 30 bucks a week instead of 200 to 600 a week from buying pills when I ran out.








so I'm still stoned just a little richer. and I still get cravings a bit.but havent acted on any yet.
