After sitting, MHRB brew seperates?

After the 75g of inner root bark powder was brewed and strained twice, and volume reduced Swim was not ready to ingest so he let it sit in his refridgerator. After cooling and settling, the brew seperated into two layers. One heavy waxy thick layer on the bottom and the purple/red watery layer on top.

The question is when SWIM ingests this should he just shake it up to mix it up again or does any other SWIMMERs know if one of the layers holds all the goods. SWIM theorizes much of the Mimosahuasca nausea is caused by this heavy waxy layer, if swim doesn't need to ingest this part he would rather not. Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
