Effects - How long before getting high ?

Hi everyone.

SWIM take a lot of Ecstasy. But each time he take one, it always take 3 hours before it work. So SWIM was wondering, is it normal ? SWIM tried differents pills and it's always 3 hours. It's strange since it should take around 45 minute.

So how long it take SWIY before working ? Is SWIM the only one ?

It usually takes swim 45 min to and hour. Swim has a buddy who has dropped several times and has never felt anything, but everyone else is "rolling hard". Swim just thinks that it affects everyone differently.

SWIM, has taken it 4 times, with little to no affects. At this point SWIM tries to warrant the pills being bad.

SWIM has been looking into more information regarding pills not affecting himself. SWIM doesnt understand the reasoning behind it. Possible that someone could inform?

My friend is looking into a testing kit. Obviously that is the best solution. Then again my friend told me that others took the pills and reported good rolls. I understand drinking and eating play a factor, as they should. I also understand it can greatly effect the way you digest.

Does anyone have any friends that know any 'best practices'? Possible routes they like to use?

lol, even though food plays a factor, it's not going to make an 2hour and 15 minute difference.

My friend sees that as only a workaround. Possible SWIM would like to find more conventional ways.

It usually takes around an hour to 'come up' on a pill but SWIM also has had times when everyone else around her has come up but she's still waiting (sometimes for a couple of hours). SWIM imagines it can vary for different people....also alcohol can seemingly have an effect. SWIM's friend told her that he once took a couple of pills and felt nothing from them so went home feeling mighty pissed off that he'd been sold duds.....went to the pub the next day, had a beer and...hey-presto! he came up BIG TIME. SWIM's friend said it was one of the best days/moments of his life!!!

A few other factors to consider for "come up" time are body weight, sex, metabolism, brain chemistry, temperature, heart rate and consumption method.

One can speed up onset by getting heart rate up or being in a warmer environment (don't over do it).

A whole pill will take longer whether swallowed or plugged than pill powder will (more surface area to absorb quicker).

Anxiety and consciouly waiting for the onset appears to slow it down as opposed to forgetting that you took mdma, which is difficult no matter how experienced.

Some people have much more of the enzymes that metabolize mdma than others and the first pill may be saturating all of those in order for subsequent pills to work, which could make it take a whole lot longer.

There is no normal length of time for onset in general, but for each individual, he or she may have a time that is normal to them. 3 hours could be normal to someone who has many of the slowing factors working against them.

If it takes so long to come up it could be pma, swim would advice getting a testing kit as soon as possible, they are readily available on the internet, ez-test comes to mind.

I'm sorry to make this already confusing post more confusing; SWIM was hanging out with a couple of his friends and they took three hours each to come up. Also SWIM is wondering if there is a drug that has a three hour come up with similar effects as mdma.

Similar effects to MDMA and takes 3 hours? No. Some would say yes - but they likely have never had actual MDMA.

If one takes MDMA on a full stomach, it will take much longer to effect one. And likely not have much of an effect either. eg: no roll. MDMA is contingent of hitting a certain level at the same time in the brain. So diluting with food is not advised. One would have to take a very large dose to pull that one off, and that would leave the barn-door open to some other nasty side-effects.

Doesn't pma take about 2 to 3 hours to hit, swim doesn't know if it would feel like real mdma though since he has always used a testing kit. But from what he has heard it could be confused with md

A good way to look at it is if everyone you are with has an abnormal effect from a a pill (everyone taking 3 hours to come up as opposed to an individual), then it's the pills that are suspect. If it is one person having an abnormal effect and everyone else who took the same pills are having normal effects, then it's the person. This applies in most cases, not all.

And yeah it really is just stupid to eat anything within a couple hours of taking mdma orally, such a waste especially if the pill is not crushed, but people still do it... It could be sitting on top of your lunch for a very long time in your stomach before it even begins to be absorbed in the first place and then add all the factors SWIM mentioned in his last post.

If one has never had MDMA, but has had x,y,z and were told it was MDMA - would they think MDMA felt like MDMA?

That's true, but I guess a lot of people haven't tried real mdma. That's why swim now only buys mdma crystals and always tests them before paying, he's friends with his dealer so testing in front of him is not a problem. Actually his dealer usually asks him to test so he knows if he should get more or not
