Two dr's RXing different benzos???
Swim recently was RX'ed alprazolam in the US. His script is 90 .5mgs 3 times a day. Well swim also has a suboxone dr. and swim was not getting adequate relief from the xanax alone so his suboxone doc called him in klonazepam 2mg. The sub dr. knows about the psych that rx'es the xanax but the psych does not know the sub dr. is writing swim scripts. Is this considered dr. shopping? Swim is not trying to illegally obtain as many scripts as possible he is just getting the 2 dr's to prescribe for different things. Xanax is for GAD and SAD, while the klonazepam is for insomnia and one 1mg dose in the morning to keep anxiety at bay.
Any replies greatly appreciated!!!!
