I am in PA, close to Philly. Here we have lots of good head
shops. The main ones are Frolic, Flavor, and moonflower. I know flavor has a few other stores around. But what are some of the head shops around you guys. I heard Herbal Remedy mention Flavor and Frolic in a previous post and didn't know how popular they were. |

We have one called "Roots Rockin Reggae". Its a nice place, but a bit
over priced, and all of their pieces are either low quality or way too good/expensive to ever consider buying (they have one bubbler that i think is going for 9,000$, but it is truely a piece of art). Once, they had 5 foot plastic bongs there for like 50$, GREAT deal, only wish i had gotten my hands on one. Also, they had these mini 1 hitter bongs that were 5$, those were so cool .Other then that, we have this guy who sells at a local flea market named "Chuck the Van Man". Hes a cool guy, and his pieces are a nice price. Limited selection though. THe pieces all have REALLY thick glass though, doubt you could break it unless you REALLY wanted to. I prefer Chuck's to Roots. Just curious, but are there any CHAIN head shops?? Like ones around the nation, that would be really funny to see. . I want to make a "Bong-mart" when/if marijuana gets legalised. That would be great. |

I've been doing a lot of research on head/hemp shops, and I haven't
come across any in North America that are chains or franchises. I've looked into some suppliers, and I'm thinking of opening a head shop in my area, which doesn't have anything available. There are a few convenience stores that sell pipes and small bongs, but there isn't a dedicated hemp shop within an hour's drive. I've been considering starting off selling at a local flea market like Stingray mentioned. It would be failry cheap to start up, so there wouldn't be as much risk involved. |

theres quite a few around here in the midwest, my favorite is a little
hole in the wall place called THC (stands for Totally High Creations), neat stuff, ok prices, workers are really nice, plus they have three cool cats that they let roam around the shop (I love cats). |

There are a few shops around here, and one of them has two stores so kinda a small chain, one is ElDarados (one store) and the other is Ethnic Concepts (2 stores)... there is a great place in Providence called Watch Your Head, i know the kid who runs it who got a 4 foot glass bong with double bubble, 2 dragons blowing shotguns to eachother, glass work that was off the wall.. the bong was 1500$ and when he got it in the mail it had a 1 1/2 crack in it.. so another 6 months of waiting for the blower to blow it straight from CA! ![]() Muirner |

A chain head shop would be lame. Well maybe. In my town we have The Mark and it is pretty badass. When I goto Madison I visit Sunshine Daydream, good vibes. She's crazy in the sunlight yes indeed |

head shops piss me off, i go in and ask for a bong, and the lady said," there is no such thing as a bong" and i point to all the bongs and say "what the hell are those?" she says, "those are water tobaccopipes" and i had a small argument with this lady and i understand that because of law they cant use slang terms and everything. however, wouldnt u consider the pipes that are known as "bubblers" more of a water pipe? i dont think a 2 foot bong is really a pipe, infact it is not a pipe at all, a pipe is a handheld smoking device, i dont care what anyone says, if u arent gonna call a 3 foot bong a bong, then u shouldnt call it a pipe. perhaps some play on the word hooka might be more appropriate or anything, but not water pipe. that doest describe it well, and it doesnt give a mental image accurately i dont think, if someone said do u have a water pipe, i would think one of the handheld bubblers. and christ who cares if u call it a bong anyways, i have NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER seen anyone fill up the chamber of a bong with tobbaco and clear it, and i know alot of tobbaco smokers. those things are clearly not designed for tobacco so i think the idea of the law trying to make us pretend that its what we want it for is stupid.hell sell it as art or something, but to call it a tobbaco water pipe is an insult to everyones intelligence and is just plain retarded.
