Illegal search/police brutality?
A couple days ago I had a really vivid dream:
I got in a fight with my mother. It escalated to the point of me throwing a monopoly box at her (yes I realize that was wrong). Anywho, my mother then went upstairs and dialed 911, completely overreacting and saying that I was being abusive and such. Well I was sitting on the front lawn when the cop pulled up and rushed out of his car. The cop was standing over me asking me pointless questions when I pulled out my cell phone to call my dad, as my dad could've been a huge help. The cop told me to put my phone away, I ignored the cop and the cop took the phone from me and threw it about 5 feet away on the grass where I could not reach it. At this point another squad car pulled up along with an SUV. One cop got out of the squad car and two got out of the SUV, making for a total of 4 cops. I then stood up to walk into the house and the original cop told me to stop. I said, "what law did I break? What reason is there for me to not walk into my house?" at this point the cop grabbed my arm and an additional officer grabbed my other arm, both threw me to the ground and restrained me, and then cuffed me. They then put me into the SUV and the original cop took me down to the station (the dirty pig didn't even let me get some shoes, saying cliche things like, "you don't need'em where you're goin.) En route to the station the officer radioed back to the house asking one of the officers to retrieve my phone off the grass. We arrived at the station and I was placed in a holding cell. I waited for around an hour and a half and the second cop (the other one that restrained me) showed up with the phone that was lying on the grass. He took my phone into another room and came back with it 20 minutes later. The officer told me he needed me to be honest with him and he would give me "breaks" for being honest. The pig told me that he looked at all of my texts and had evidence of me hooking up drug deals and such. I did the smart thing by denying everything and enforcing my right to silence. I wasn't going to be a victim of the cop's mind games. The cop then told me that he wasn't going to give me any breaks and that he copied down all the numbers I had texted and the transcripts of all the texts, fortunately the pig had no evidence to cite me with drug offenses. I got cited for domestic violence - assault and resisting arrest and was free to go.
My questions are this: The phone was not on my person and was left on the grass, did the police have the right to take it off of my property and search it? Did the police have a right to manhandle me like that? I apologize if this was hard to read, I'll be happy to clarify anything that is confusing.
