Oral use - poppy seed tea with poppy seeds

Hi,

SWIM got some dried poppy seeds from the super market. Mixed with lemon juice and boiling water.
SWIM got pretty chilled relaxed and little euphoric and very sick after drinking heaps.

Any good recipes to help make it better?

Boiling water destroys the goods. Use luke warm water.
Start with about 400-500grams (and always remember that the seeds will vary in potency).
SWIY don't need to shake it for long. 5mins tops. Wash them twice, use a lot of water.

well ıf they are unwashed 400-500 could already be a overdose, and a pretty bıg one also. dependıng on the potency SWIY could feel 'good' already around 100-200g so just bear that ın mınd and be careful, drınk ıt slowly and always waıt a bıt..

Agreed, PST is always risky, so best to start with a low amount and if necessary up the dosage after an hour or two. Probably could wait less, but better safe than sorry.

swim's off today and swim really wants some tea. swim might just go to the supermarket and look for some. do they sell unwashed? will it say on the box? since swim has somewhat of a tolerance. swim is looking to go with 200-250gms, i heard just shake it in a jar w/ cold water? don't really need cooking.

It will not say weather it is washed or not. Asking is probably a good way of flagging yourself as someone who isn't using them for baking (not that anyone would know what else to do with them). SWIM has found that the cheaper they are, the better they are. Maybe not better, but a SWIM could buy 4 4oz cans for $25, or he could buy it in bulk for $3.75 a lb. The choice is pretty clear to him. The other thing SWIM looks for is little bits of pod mixed in with the seeds. Also only really seen by him in the bulk stuff.

SWIY doesn't really need to cook it, but SWIY will be loosing some product if heat is not used during the extraction process. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38937

Always start out with a large volume of liquid and titrate up until SWIY can be sure it's doing something. It may do nothing, or it might kill SWIY. Easy to add more, impossible to add less.

oh, swim used cold water from the sink. shook for 3 mins. tried to get the liquid out. got it out but noticed a lot of seeds would come out too and there was still water at the bottom. tried to filter with a coffee filter but it wasn't gonna work. so swim drank the water that was poured in the bowl. then did a 2nd cleaning and used a sock to filter it. i wanted all the stuff at the bottom of the bottle. so it all went into the sock. , squeezed and drank this. color was a smoky/yellowish color. taste was horrible. bitter and kinda burned too. swim was trying to pinpoint the taste. it tasted like another spice. just can't remember. waiting for results... total was 11oz of seeds from an organic source. i simply can't wait. lol

although swim has never drank poppy seed tea swim was thinking the best way to get unwashed seeds would be to go to an organic store. swim may try that.

whatever, swim went to the doc and just got 30 klons. so he's happy.

SWIM uses an old large coffee plunger which can easily hold 240gms of seeds, stir for a couple of minutes then plunge and pour.

The add frsh lemon juice or cordial to mask the taste and sip.....using the plunger SWIY can do a number of "brews"....don't leave water to stand in the seeds for too long though.

My pet used to indulge regularly on poppy seed tea. Being on 8mg of Suboxone/Buprenorphine at the time, he found that late at night the tea would work better as his blood nor/buprenorphine was lower than during the day as he took his dose early morning daily at roughly 7am.

I remember he would use anything up to 700 grams of seeds (dangerous for opiate naive people by the way) and drink the resulting brown liquid strained from his mason jar. Only cold water was used and slightly ground up (although not always ground) seeds and sometimes a large pinch of citric acid for good measure. Worked a charm when he let is soak for an hour with a vigorous shake every 5-10 minutes.

I must mention from my observations that PST is a very unpredictable and dangerous habit, as sometimes my dear cat would be sickly high almost overdosing and sometimes simply mellow and euphoric. All caution must be used with seeds, although lately all brands aren't like they used to be...although they do still grow!

His 4 year experience with PST is that 'the longer the stronger' when it comes to the seeds in the water.
