Injecting - Amphetamine. Base to Salt.

SWIM wanted to know if it was possible to synthesise other salts from amphetamine base other than the hydrochloride and sulphate salts? For instance could a salt be produced from concentrated lemon juice or vinegar?
He knows that heroin base is often mixed with lemon juice or vinegar as it is soluble in both these things. SWIM wants to inject his base amphetamine, could he simply dissolve it in lemon juice or vinegar???

Also he wants to ascertain if what he gets IS in fact base amphetamine because where he comes from uncut amphetamine is often referred to as base (it's often cut with glucose by dealers to increase it's volume or by users to make snorting easier) irregardless of whether it actually IS base.
Could this be done with a simple ph test to see if it's basic.

He's pretty sure it is as it is very oily with the consistency of honey and a slightly off white colour. It also has that classic ammonia strong smell. Does this sound right to any SWIY's out there???

Yes, sounds right, though it should have more a gerany and strong ammonia smell, it is a base and can form salts with any acid. Swim did a formate salt, which was an off-white, fine powder, which didn´t burn on snorting that much, though he finds formates probably toxic, but it works.

Titrating a specific amount with known moles and Ns of acid gives the quantitative analysis of the amine -or any base- in it.

SWIM just mixed the base with lemon juice and it formulated all these crystals which subsequently dissolved in the juice and it ended up lovely and clear. Just what SWIM was hoping
