Other - Finally!!! A cure for K-pains!!!

SWIM has recently used a lot of K (about 3-4g a day) for the last 4 or 5 days. SWIM has had severe K-pains over the last 2 days and not been able to find anything to cure the pain! In fact the only way to monitor the pain is to take more K, which is great at the time but when the K wears off the pain appears even worse.

For those of you that are lucky enough not to experienced K-pains the only way SWIM can explain it is a severe pain above the abdominal area, and when SWIM says severe, SWIM means SEVERE!!! You can't sit still, you can't stand up, you can't move, in fact the only thing on your mind is to try and get out of the pain. In SWIMs experience it normally last anything up to 72hours!

In fact SWIM has heard some people talking about the pain getting so extreme that killing themselves seems the only way of the pain!!!

Anyway back to the point!!! SWIM went to the doctors yesterday after thinking that pain was never going to go away and was finally prescribed something that helped (not totally got rid of the pain)

Anyway for reverence they are called "Lansoprazole 30mg Gastro-Resistant Capsules"

They work by naturalising the acid build up in your stomach that K gives you.

SWIM hopes this helps some people as SWIM knows a few other people on here have had similar problems without finding any cure.

Do you mean neutralizing? If so, wouldn't tums work?

I think most people have tried that, not sure?

...but I do know that it seems a common problem with K without any solution and my SWIM tells me it hurts like hell so any help to get rid of the pain is appriciated!!

Swim has never used K, he was just trying to understand your explanation for the solution.

has swim considered NOT using K for a while!!seems logical!
never heard of this before and swim has never experienced this while on k.
if it happened to swim alot swim would just find something better than k to use...

instead of asking for other people's subjective opinions over drugs, tell your parakeet to form his own opinions by taking a break from K and trying out other things. So he can figure out what isn't as good as K and what is better than K.

exactly.

expand swiy mind or something...the world doesnt revolve around Ketamine and as far as drugs go 'K' isnt even all that great.

but SWIM has tried cannabis, coke, crack, mushrooms and lsd and not liked any of them as much as K.

SWIM doesnt want to try heroin or anything like that!

yeah K is ace but after the 1st few kick arse k-holes you need to start taking more and more ( and i do mean a LOT more) to get the same affect ( this is when you start feeling the pains) and the true wow!!!!! holes will nvr return
this is why some ppl start doing needle work while most after the 1st honymoon period see there k use lower or even stop

thats the same with all drugs and tolerance!not just ketamine specific.

K tolerance comes on quicker than many/most drugs

got any evidence of that statement?swim has taken Ketamine many,many times when younger and never found tolerancebuilt up quickly,as opposed to things like Methamphetamine, MDMA,GHB even benzos....maybe this is just swims personal experience??

Gaviscon tablets and Peptobismol (sic?) Work a treat, need to hammer it as soon as u feel the pains coming on though. Its a cure for ket dick thats needed, thats hurts something chronic. Need to pee every 5 mins and it stings like someone stickin needles in ur member. I find cranberry juice helps and a mate recommended charcol tablets but it doesnt ease the pain, just shortens the duration.

second that mate. SWIM has gaviscon for such cases, and also uses tramadol to ease the pain.

As far as I know, from what I hear from others, the K belly is just a spastic colonic response to prevent nasties from hitting the tum. My friend suggests that the main problem is the *wretch slimy grinding snort* thing that he does when he's got a sinus full - you know the one. Like the death throes of a pig-bulldog lovechild. That's yanking mucus full of nasties down into your digestive tract, and after a while the tum says enough! True, it's a hot meal in itself, but not a particularly wholesome one. So what my friend tends to do when the k belly starts to awaken - stop with the swallowing of foul secretions - spit it out instead. Drink lots of herb teas, cut milk to a minimum as well as citrus fruits or anything else that would likely rub salt in the wound of a sore intestinal tract. Take a hot bath, breathe deep, and usually he says that the belly disappears pretty promptly. Taking a bunch of painkillers just numbs the pain, doesn't stop the irritation though - that's there for a reason. Much better to deal with the cause and not the symptoms. Or so he says.

K pains are the worst pain SWIM has ever felt, he went to hospital the first time he had them because he thought he was going to die. He's had them loads since with varying degrees and severity. He has been doing K for around 3 years but for the first year didn't have any kind of pains. He then starting doing much more and starting getting them. His girlfriend then started getting them as they both been doing between 1-2g each almost everynight for months on end. Last night SWIM's girl got another pretty severe attack and again in the morning prompting both SWIM and her to give up permanently. SWIM can't begin to think of the damage they have been doing to each other. SWIM is pretty addicted to the stuff but is going cold turkey. He will find it extremely hard but he knows it's something he has to do. It will also mean he has a lot more money, a much better sex life and will be a lot more socialable.

For those who still get them though and insist on still doing K then SWIM found the best way, although probably not a great idea was to make himself throw up and get rid of all the acid in his stomach. He was pescribed omeprazole which helped a little, as did gaviscon. Paracetemol helped a little, nurofen should be avoided though as it can make your stomac hurt more. A hot bath and a hot water bottle do wonders as well.

Seriously, (apparently) pain is just a warning that something's up - the stomach only kicks up a fuss if there is sh*t going into it, zero sh*t going into it = zero pain. SWIM had crippling pangs for about an hour and never again since coz contrary to popular belief in some cases its better to spit than swallow. And swim gets through a lot. Or so I hear.
