NO, It's not safe, if it's taken for pain i should mention that there are many other drugs much safer than acetaminophen and they also work much better

It probably would be OK to take the maximum daily (24 hour) dose for a couple of days in a row (1000mg every 6 hours at least). That said personally i wouldn't do it, i would only take the maximum dose if i had REALLY bad toothache, then the next day i would drop it by at least 500mg (probably 1000mg because i am paranoid) and keep dropping it each day.

By that time the problem should be sorted out what ever it may be, and if the symptoms persist (pain or fever because it's an Antipyretic) then you should seek medical attention and then go from there.

If some one is taking paracetamol because of its other ingredient (whatever that may be) beyond therapeutic doses, then there really is no reason why the paracetamol shouldn't be removed. It really should not be an issue, and as i said, it saddens me to think there is some person somewhere probably right this instant, taking a stupid amount of paracetamol because it has 5mg of oxycodone in it.
