How long do Heroin withdrawal generally last?

WD usually peaks on the 3rd or 4th day and is through the worst in a week.
Sleep disturbances and anxiety may last for up to a month.

If swiy is thinking about going through with it, swim suggests to:

Buy some Imodium! It is a synthetic opiate similar to codeine that will help a lot with diarrhea. Also, swiy might want to buy some Pepto to help with the diarrhea, it also seems to settle down the stomach. Finally Tums can help settle down Swiys stomach as well.

Swim would also suggest getting a legal prescription for Xanax, Klonopin, or Ativan, it will help very much with the mental effects. Just be careful not to trade one addiction for another.

Heroin WD is probably the most painful WD, but it is very short, unlike methadone or longer acting opiates (suboxone).

If Swiy can make it past the first four days, swiy is through the worst.

thats true you know swim can never get passed the 3rd day, unless there is absolutely no hope then it isnt deliberate so it doesnt count x

SWIM notices that he withdrawals less, the less he does on his last day.

For instance, if SWIM were to have done say a half gram in a day, he'd be more sick than if he just snorted one packet.

SWIM wants to know, if the first and second days aren't that bad, will the third day no matter what be bad? Because SWIM has been doing it for a month now, and hasn't gone past two days without doing it. SWIM just notices sometimes he is more sick than other times.

SWIM finds that 90mg of Codeine takes away his sickness for a while.

SWIM has been WAY sicker off of Oxymorphone. All SWIM really notices from his heroin withdrawals are waking up covered in sweat, and then being cold, diarhea, stomach pains, loss of appetite, etc... It is mainly when SWIM first wakes up.

SWIM smokes cannabis and it seems to help. I mean, the sickness is still there, but you are high so you don't care as much. On the days that SWIM has been sick, it usually comes in waves. Sometimes SWIM will get a lot of goosebumps, but usually after a while his sickness subsides, but he constantly yawns and his eyes tear.

But SWIM is now out of money, just snorted his last packet, and has 5 Tylenol 3's to help him get over the worst.

SWIM wants to know if he should save the Tylenol 3's for the 3rd day. Because in the past with SWIMs other opiate addictions, he found that waking up the 3rd morning was the worse because he was all cold and sweaty, but by the end of the day, he feels better, just aches and pains...

Is SWIM correct in feeling that oxymorphone withdrawal is way worse than I guess mild heroin withdrawal? SWIM is sure that if he was doing it more heavily than he is, it would be way worse? Is he right? Or will he be feeling full on withdrawal? He has been using for over a month now, and has been using every day since the 25th. He has at least a packet a day (heroin no. 4, snorted) but on occasions he has snorted 3 packets in a day, and has also on occasion shot up, and then snorted later on.

SWIM is ready to go through with the withdrawal and get over this addiction, but is afraid of what lies ahead, as far as withdrawal. SWIM has gone through terrible oxycodone and oxymorphone withdrawals where he felt like he was dying and just felt like shit all together. But usually they started on the first day, and lasted up to a week, with the third day being the worst of it. SWIM has noticed the first and second days aren't as bad as the first and second days with those other opiates. He's just afraid of the unknown third day? Is it that bad?

If swiy can't make it past the 3rd day, swim would suggest swiy take a trip away from his source where there is no way of getting back to your home for 7 days.

Swiy should avoid the codeine as much as he can as the more opiates he uses the longer withdrawl will last, even though codeine can really help.

Whatever swiy does, don't take all 5 t3's at once as it will put swiy back on step one.

Swiy might want to use codeine on day 1(two) 2(two) and 3(one) which should help ease withdrawl.

Only take one t3 at a time, as swim said earlier, if swim uses more it might fill up all your receptors and put you a step back.

Also, to help with sleep, swiy might want to buy some benadryl and melatonin. Benadryl is also good at stopping nausea.

"Thanks for the advise. I'll have to get some benadryl. I'd imagine that would also help get to sleep. That's another thing I've been having problems with... getting to sleep on my days off opiates.

I also agree with you on taking only 1 as needed, instead of 3 at once like I did before, because while it did take away my sickness it also gave me a very mild, but nevertheless opiate high, so I figured that would put me a step back.

I'm unable to get anymore for a while so that's a good thing. I have to find a job asap, as well as start paying for car insurance and medical bills, and I'm a medicinal cannabis user so I need to make sure I have money for those things before I can blow it on heroin.

Sure I would love to keep doing it, but the problem is I ran out of money, and got carried away with it. So, getting more really isn't an option for right now.

The earliest I'd be able to get some would probably be at least a week from now, so luckily I shouldn't be physically addicted by then, so doing it again won't make me sick the next day, unless I let myself get carried away and do it daily for a long period of time.

But the thing is, like I said, it's time for me to grow up. I don't want to, but have to. I need to start making my own money and get my own place. I'm only 18, but my family situation isn't that good, so it's for the best that I get a job, save money, and move out. I've just been ignoring all of those things, and have been getting high so I don't have to deal with anything, but I need to take a break, which sucks...

If swiy does H after just going through withdrawals a week earlier you'll be at square one. I find you need to put a good 3-4 weeks between withdrawals and using again to not experience physical withdrawals after just the one time use.

yeh tru (above) swim found that even when swim managed a week clean if swim use for one day....well its never just the one day, it immediatley fuks up all the good work swim has done. Its best just staying away, anyone who knows anything about H will know its not something you can balance, the trick was, swim REALLY thought she could, pay the bills, go to work, socialise, act normal infront of the family forever etc. It just doesnt work out like that, otherwise there would be loads of 80 year olds booting all over the place. Im not saying no ones ever done it, im just sayin its so powerful you really need to respect the seduction, she's a sexy mistress, ad once she digs her nails in you, its hard to kiss her goodbye, no matter how much you fuks u up...

Yeah true. I find that if you kick and than have been clean for about a week and than try to do a bag say on the 8th day on the 9th or 10th you'll be sick all over again. Your body has memory so try and give maybe 2 and half 3 weeks before dipping again. To avoid getting a habit all over again if your gona dip after say 3 weeks clean DO NOT indulge for 3 straight days or you ass is hit. Actually to be safe i wouldnt go over 2. and than rest for a week or so again. I find this had worked for SWIM. But after awhile your body will even get used to that and you will seem to feel withdrals after a week or so passes.

swim was trying to kick suboxone and the withdrawals peaked at about 16 days after last use (swim has been on 32mg a day going on 2 years) then swim finally got some and felt better. and as said above a few times it started all over again so swim got back on it. but as said above as well in the beginning, some benzodiazepines really, really help when one isn't extremely tolerant to them. but swim has been prescribed 18mg clonazepam a day for a while now and barely even notices it. don't let that happen.
