Opinions - Smoking weed instead of drinking alcohol

Ok, heres the thing, sure Alcohol is cool and everything and being drunk
can soemtimes be fun, but you feel like shit and like u r going to puke
if you do nething, you get all warm, and u have a mean ass hangover in
the morning, not to mention you cant control yorself sometimes, you do
dumb stuff, and look like an ass. There is one answer...POT. Now most
of you are probably saying right about now that im some addicted stoner
druggy with no life. Wrongo buddy, Alcohol funks more people than pot
does. Hence Alcoholics. Here are the benifits and cons of weed...



Benefits:

- Cheaper

- Funner

- It's like playing your favourite video game

- You don't get hang overs

- Not addictive like cigarettes

- You don't feel like you want to puke

- It's easier to get ahold of for underage kids

- way way way funner

- Everything is funny as hell

- Foods taste better, music is better, movies are funnier, and that old lamp stand in your room is funny as hell whens stoned.



Cons:

- If you smoke too much eventually you will become phycologically addicted. (Just like alcohol)

- If you smoke too much you will eventually start to slowly damage your brain (Just like alcohol)

- It is still "Illegal" for some strange reason



This is just for anyone who wants to smoke pot but afraid because
everyone calls it a "drug" therefore you think it's like crack or
something. A good rule of thumb is this, if you can't pick it out of
the ground, dry it, and eat it/smoke it, then it's not in your best
interest to use it. Say no to chemicles.

I would have to agree that pot is way better for you and is extremely less damaging to you and your life. Although alcohol is way cheaper in my opinion. Me being an alcoholic(used to be acually but it never seems to go away) i say this from personal experience. IMO there's nothing more boring than hanging out with a bunch of
stoners. They're stupid and sleepy. Hang out with a bunch of people who
are drinking and they're fun, they do stuff.

I have way more fun at a party when I'm drunk than if I was stoned. At
party's, I'll always drink. If I'm just chillin with a couple friends
on a lazy night, then I'd rather smoke.

i dont think you can compare alcohol and weed. they are both really fun and it all depends what kind of mood you're in. Alcohol is fun with a group of people or if you want to hook up with everyone. Weed is good in an occasion, especially if you just feel like relaxing.

Alcohol is waaay cheaper and easier to get for me than weed. (I'm currently in Huiigh School). I like alcohol and weed the same. Yeah aftef Vodka you have nasty hangovers but when I'm mad drunkI have much more fun than when I'm stoned. It both screws you up, but hey there is nothing else to do

Most of them have ruined their lives due to this legal substance, they hate it yet they can not quit drinking.

SWIM must admit that when he is drunk he does a lot funner stuff then when he is high. he is a lot more into stuff when he is high, but when he is drunk he cant do the simplest of things sometime. As for the price Alcohol is more expensive, 20$ for a 750ml of 99 Banans, and 20$ for a G, He can work a G into a few nights if he wanted to and a bottle can sometimes last only a night... to each his own though, SWIMS prefreence is pot because he can still type (not like now) and he can still function at work, if he went to work drunk all sorts of hell would go down.

I'm not saying that alcohol has no negatives, by all means, it is flawed! However, weed also has its fair share of negatives. That was the point I was attempting to make. Eternal gave his opinion and basically pissed on alcohol, so I gave mine and pissed on weed. I know that alcohol can be bad, when thepeople who drink it don't act responsibly. The same goes for weed though.


I guess that I, being an avid drinker, was slightly offended by Eternals post when he called my "drug" simply bad. Especially when alcohol is no different then any other drug, it has the pro's and the con's to it.


So, i apologize if i offended anyone, by bashing weed.I just felt that both opinions should be stated.

It's not "more" addicting, but it is as addicting. I have friends who need to smoke everyday. But none of my friends need to drink everyday, it's usually a weekend thing for them. I like to start my weekend on wednesday or thursday night, i guess you could say i'm more addicted than my friend who drink but not even close to my friends that smoke.

Weed is not phisiclly addictive like alcohol is. There is no abstinence when you don't smoke it, as there is for alcoholics. And although it causes cancer, WEED DOES NOT CAUSE BRAIN DAMAGE. It is of course mentally addicting, but so is anything that you enjoy.

If you told Ronaldinio that he cant play football anymore, he'd get depressed and frustrated aswell. I think both weed and alcohol have their good sides. alcohol here is way more expensive then pot. here i can get pot for 5-10 a gram. i've bought 17 grams for 110 dollars easy (CANADIAN). its like 25 dollars for a quart here (tax not included) so when it comes down to money pot is cheaper..well here anyways...

This is a silly debate. They're extremely different drugs... different strokes for different folks, eh? And for different situations, too. As someone said, at a party, I'd definitely rather be drunk than stoned. Yeah, the discussion is kinda absurd. They are completely different
drugs. I mean, if I'm just gonna be hanging out, I'd rather take
shrooms than drink OR smoke. With my stoner friends, it's more fun to
smoke. With strangers, it's better to drink. It's all a matter of
personal preference.
