Experiences - Experience with Extreme Time Dialation on Mushrooms

The experience:

Encylopedia Brown and Sally Kimball were lying in bed late at night. Unbeknownst to Encyclopedia, Sally was tripping on 3.5g P cubensis. She was lying on her back, he was sitting up talking to her. As she looked up at him, his face began to ooze, melt, and drip, becoming unrecognizeable. She looked up behind him at the ceiling, and saw the wooden panels split open, and a fire roaring behind them. These types of visuals went on for awhile. They were all slightly disturbing, and Sally was mildly uncomfortable, but was keeping it well under control.

Then Encyclopedia announced that he was tired and wanted to sleep. "Good night Sally," he said to her, as he patted her gently on the head, once, twice...

and then his voice changed and he began speaking in a soft, soothing, melodious tone, saying "Imagine that you're in a garden, a beautiful garden that stretches as far as you can see, and it's full of beautiful flowers, and you're lying among the flowers, and you can hear the river flowing, and you can feel the sun shining, and you're perfectly, perfectly happy..." This went on for a long time. He kept talking, guiding Sally through a series of images, each more fantastic than the last. Sally briefly wondered why he was doing this since he didn't know she was tripping, but then she was lost in the images, and then she WAS in the images, lying in the garden, floating down the river, dancing with the trees. And she was perfectly, perfectly happy. Never in her life had she felt such warmth, bliss, and peace. She might have stayed there forever, as time had ceased to have any meaning. She no longer heard Encyclopedia's voice, nor had any connection to the world. She had become pure joy.

...three times, "Try to get some rest." And Sally was snapped back into reality. The images, the happiness, the pure joy were all gone, and she was lying in bed in the dark, tripping alone, as Encyclopedia rolled over and went to sleep. Sally wasn't sure if what had just happened was real or not, so she made the best of the rest of the trip, enjoying some neat visuals in the dark, until she was able to sleep.

Encyclopedia confirmed the next day that he hadn't said any of it, and had simply wished her goodnight and told her to get some rest, then had rolled over and gone to sleep himself. The eternity of joy and peace that Sally experienced either never happened, or happened in a split second as he was talking to her.

Sally still doesn't really understand what happened. Did she experience an infinite gap between two instants of time? It was not like normal time dilation on mushrooms, in which one still experiences linear time, however slowly it may pass. This was a detour from normal time that only Sally went on.

Sally would appreciate SWIY's thought on this, and if any SWIYs have had similar experiences.

That is an awesome trip report, you tell it in a way I can relate. I think I have experienced somewhat the same thing you had. It is like a experience out of time, it happens clearly in your head somewhat like dreaming. I get this when I am listening to music and I can see the mechanics of the music in my head. But in one of my friend Swim's latest trips he had a sort of intervention. He was trippin on his own in silent darkness so he couldn't relate to time. But he had a moment in his head where time stood still and vision audio and thought merged and showed something. Not something you produce concious but unconcious. Like you see or hear some kind of movie. I want to go in to details but the report is on this forum, it is called Divine Interventions. Swim finds this the most intresting and beautifull experiences on shrooms and he doesn't get them often. Keep intrested and keep searching for insight and it will happen again

This sounds amazing, I envy SWIY for experiencing this trip. SWIM has only had the privilege of experiencing this in a dream, but not on a mushroom trip. SWIM has fallen asleep at 11:10, dreamt for hours upon hours, then awoken at 11:11. It was an amazing feeling.

Though I haven't read much tripreports including this and I don't have any experience with it either, I have heard it before.

I once saw a documentary where they showed footage of some guy from the british television trying LSD as an experiment (BBC). He described the exact same thing you had.

i had the same thing happen to me when i was totally sober. i was laying in bed listing to some pink floyd. it felt like i drifted off to sleep and was dreaming. it was really dark and a few colours scattered about, this went on for what seamed half an hour then i noticed that there was no music playing and the moment i thought about the music i was warped back into reality. then i noticed that the next part of the song was like 2 seconds after i noded off.

(pink floyd, Dark side of the moon, "speak to mr/Breathe"... i noded off litirly a second before the lady started screaming at the start of the song. when i returned she BEgan to sing and i was just like wtf is going on
